We’re more than happy to present the first remix of Noema's upcoming Album ‘One’!

This album is part of an „Interactive Performance Installation“ that consists of music, an interactive choreography and stage design, theater, costumes and remixes. During the performance five actors invite up to 120 people from the audience to join the action. Sun Ra meets Steve Reich meets Larry Levan, imagine it like a happening from the 70s.

In this Gesamtkunstwerk Noema created a funky and absurd universe that tells the story of his interdimensional space explorations, in which he manifests in four different entities. Because of the energetic state of humanity they got stuck in our dimension and now do performances to re-power their portal, so we can all be interdimensional again! The performance was premiered as the closing act of Garbicz Festival 2022.

Simply put, the form of Noema's original music „One“ is loosely based on the minimal music classic „In C“ by Terry Riley and consists of 56 melodic patterns, which are repeated and consecutively played from the first to the last. Every player can move on to the next pattern at their own pace. The piece is about 45 minutes long without a break.

The first Remix comes by no other than our favorite German Discotizer, Lauer, who in the past remixed music by iconic artists such as Sven Väth, Pet Shop Boys or Falco. Lauer's Remix of „One“ is a hypnotic leftfield Disco tune, featuring a bubbly arpeggio synth, live drums and a catchy melody!

In his a magnificent re-jam the Zurich based artist adds funky keyboards, live drums and his trademark vocals on top of the opening part of 'ONE'.
Keeping it close to the original, Kalabrese's remix is a real Jam with a loose and organic spirit, giving 'ONE' this dash of Beat that makes you go swing.

Shubostar
Hailing from South Korea, Shubostar has been immersing herself in the evolving underground scene of South Korea and Thailand and now in Mexico. Her music can be defined as “Cosmic Disco” – a base of disco combined with techno elements. In 2018, She decided to launch her own label ‘uju Records’ with Korean painter Daryung Kim, inviting her favorite artists in the genre. Shubostar was recently featured on the cover of Mixmag Brazil and was one of eight artists selected as DJ Mag’s One To Watch in 2023.

As the founder of The Magic Movement, Noema is a pioneer in the electronic and downtempo music scene in Europe. He was resident DJ in the legendary Berlin Club institution Renate for a decade and has collaborated with electronic music heavy weights like Apparat, Dj Dixon, Daniel Wang and Grammy winners Basement Jaxx.

We’re excited to announce Mehmet Aslan as the fourth artist to remix Noema's recently released album, ONE. Mehmet Aslan’s remix is filled with rhythmic textures, playful melodies, and funky electro breakbeats. 

In a world of crate diggers, willfully eclectic selectors and micro-scene experts, few DJs and producers maintain the curiosity, bulletproof taste and unique identity of Mehmet Aslan. Born to Turkish immigrant parents and raised in Basel, Switzerland, a childhood absorbing Turkish music was only the beginning of an esoteric trip down a rabbit hole of fascinating, often unusual music, enrapturing dancefloors with his own record collection alongside his own, equally varied productions.

Ranging from Nu-Disco, Funky Electronic Breakbeats, to Indie Dance, these tracks will surely have you dancing your way into new dimensions.
In the first track, Kalabrese brings us a magnificent re-jam adding funky keyboards, live drums and his trademark vocals on top of the original. Next, Lauer offers a hypnotic leftfield Disco tune, featuring a bubbly arpeggio synth, live drums and a catchy melody! Panthera Krause’s remix is an energetic dance track driven by mind-bending arpeggiators and syncopated chords. Over the past year and half, Noema has created an impressive cosmos: He has written and recorded the music with a small orchestra, but also created the story, texts, costumes, graphics, videos, choreography, and showed an early experimental version at Garbicz Festival 2022.
In ONE, Noema tells the story of his space explorations, in which he manifests as four Interdimensional Space Voyagers. Because humanity has lost their ability to play and connect with each other, these entities became trapped in our dimension and now put on performances to re-power their portal, so that we can all be interdimensional again!

As the founder of The Magic Movement, Noema is a pioneer in the electronic and downtempo scene in Europe. As co-producer and A&R he released iconic records of artists such as Xique-Xique, Carrot Green, Kermesse and discovered artists like Oceanvs Orientalis.
DJing since 1997, and being former resident DJ in the legendary Berlin Club institution Wilde Renate for a decade, Noema has been touring the world with his eclectic and stunning DJ sets just as long. His extended sets go up to 10 hours and are indeed the stuff of legends. In his studio work, he has collaborated with electronic music heavy weights like Apparat, Dj Dixon and Grammy winners Basement Jaxx.
