w:Many times!

o:Where did you record this mix? 
w:I recorded this mix at the location of my party Acid Lake, the sun was setting, a deer was roaming up ahead, and a giant orange moth was flying around me :) 

o:What drew you to the sounds?
w:I have been thinking a lot recently about the perception of time in the context of love and loss. The way that our mind orchestrates a measurement of how long something feels in accordance with its impact on us. 

There is a magic involved in our metaphysical connections with one another, and the ways in which we can connect despite distance and extended time apart, but also how it feels when something bad happens to someone we love, sometimes before any contact with that person if the connection is deep enough. 

I wanted to channel these thoughts and connect with a collection of sounds spanning across many years and locations, tied together by their formation deep within the soul.

o:What's your plan next weekend?
w:The release party for the debut record by Excelsior Ruth @xlsior ;)

FNS returns on Thursday, October 10, for the fourth takeover at Mutant Radio, featuring a special collaboration with our friends from the North. Oslo-based artists Anders Hajem, and Trym Søvdsnes will join forces with Bergen-based Patås and Kromoplastik, who will perform a live set.
