Birthed from an intense summer experiencing firsthand the disappearing waters and heavy wildfire damage in various remote corners of the Colorado River Basin, German Army return from the sands with a quintessential collection of drugged-out tribal drum machines, Saharan synth mirages and stargazing vocal works, drawing comparisons both sonic and conceptual to Egyptian Nile regions plagued by similar environmental challenges for centuries. Pursuing the intriguing aesthetic brought to light through its Vapordub compilation earlier this year, the French imprint is now exploring deeper under the iceberg of contemporary psychedelic music. A ten-track generous blend of 80s-90s mellow new age and crystalline HD sound-design, in the true spirit of the eco-futurism vibe.
