Michael Haydn - Musician, Cancer Survivor, Unassuming Vineyard and Jaws Historian, and Long Time Vineyard Resident. If you've ever seen "Jaws," Michael is one of the first people you see in the movie. He's one of the first people you HEAR in the movie. The beginning scene...the campfire...just before the girl goes swimming and meets a terrifying end - there's a guy playing guitar around a campfire - That's Michael. here are some recollections of Michael's introduction to the Vineyard, his relationship with the Vineyard, and how he got to do what he loves - namely play music - in the beginning of a movie that terrified generations of beachgoers... The Vineyard Current - Segment from September 24, 2017 - Sheri Caseau, MVC's Water Resources Planner
Sheri Caseau, Water Resources Planner for the MV Commission. Sheri is responsible for the MVC's efforts dealing with water quality. A major thrust is dealing with the challenge of limiting excessive nitrogen -- from wastewater, agriculture, stormwater, fertilizer, and other sources -- that is threatening the Vineyard's coastal ponds. This includes coordinating an extensive program of water quality testing, and working with the Massachusetts Estuaries Program and the Department of Environmental Protection to find the most cost-effective ways to bring nitrogen loading down to acceptable levels. I spoke with her at the Annual Living Local Harvest Festival at the MV Ag Hall.

RADIO GAMES meets every Tuesday form 3:30 to 4:30 at the Edgartown Library… this is a program geared towards middle school … students from all schools are welcome …the next session begins on January 8th.
