We are super excited to present the 88th podcast featuring a deep, progressive subterranean 1h30 mix from Yüri filled with classy warm 4x4 tones & textures, a perfect soundscape for a winter's amble.

Yuri’s passion for the electronic music scene began already in Barcelona from a young age where he found his place in a new community. Mostly being precent as a photographer his motivation to mix started from an ‘’inside feeling of sharing what it feel needs to be shared in the moment that needs to be shared“ and he wanted to give more to the techno community. Now he is living in Berlin where he expanded his knowledge of music. Yuri is co founder of the parties X concept by Room Trax where he is also resident DJ and brings all the creative direction of the brand. For him multidisciplinary is super important because besides of Dj, he is mainly an artist, curator and founder of YF Agency (agency of content creation and visual artists for the electronic music scene.)

Antic Soul joins for DifferentSound Podcast #205.

Antic Soul has an affection for deep dark rhythms, groovy dub chords, and mesmerizing soundscapes, which they transmit through their releases on labels like Complexed Records, Frenzy, Schimmer Records, Vitus Curse and on their own imprint Entourage Concept. With their powerful sets at various famous clubs such as Kater Blau, Kit Kat, :// about blank or Mobilat, Antic Soul proved many times how to create a long-lasting vibe and distinctive club experience. 

Their own label project, Entourage Concept is a platform which enables them to release music in various formats and to connect with artists around the globe. It's a community with room for all — not caring about gender, origin, sexual preference, or any other label which aims to keep people inside a box. Instead, our identities often influence our sounds and journeys and teach us lessons in life and music. 

Besides events in venues like About Blank or Fiese Remise, Entourage stands for quality releases with focus on fast and dubby groove techno. Their last charity compilation, #thesceneagainstwar, featured up-and-coming artists like Baugruppe90, Nicolas Vogler, Ackermann, Elad Magdasi and many more.

Rhythm is a driving force of the universe. Originally from Poland, Slope Unit has debuted over a decade ago in the infamous club [M]etro Club back in his hometown, Białystok. Record-digging together with dedication to the rhythm drew his attention towards the wider aspect of sonic experimentation which pushed him to start producing his own material. After a few years of relentless mixing in Warsaw, he was looking for a more suitable place to unfold his musical journey, and London turned out to be the location. Hardware synthesizers were suddenly overshadowed by eurorack's universe, what was recycled later on for his recently released EP's on Modular Underground and Totentanz Recordings. He is a part of the Based On Lies showcase together with his partner in crime - Joanna (T A K A) discovered back in 2016 by Dazed & Confused and endorsed by Revive Festival 2019. Now returning to DJing, Slope Unit constantly amazes us with the immense energy of his sets and his uncompromising selections, claiming that pushing musical boundaries is his call of duty.

His sound, hypnotic and abstract, is characterized by plays of resonances and touching frequencies, which overwhelm the listener's mind on an atomic journey. With an introspective techno approach, Salvatore has landed in the Berlin underground scene, bringing his sound to clubs and raves all over Europe! His continuous research and dedication to electronic music is reflected in a vibrational dance floor experience.

VZSZ (Pablo Vázquez, 1997) comienza a interesarse por la música electrónica en la adolescencia, descubriendo el Techno al volver a residir en su ciudad natal (Madrid).

Tras varios años explorando sus paisajes sonoros a través de la mezcla, su sonido se ha asentado en el techno contemporáneo en su forma más cruda.

En sus sesiones, siempre intenta un diálogo y estímulo constante de la pista mediante mezclas rápidas y el uso de 3 canales, técnica en la que se siente más cómodo para desplegar toda su creatividad.

Desde 2019, VZSZ ha hecho múltiples apariciones en eventos como: Phase Collective, Holle Club, 008 Collective, Alter Ego,...

Durante 2023 han visto la luz sus primeras producciones, en las que intenta plasmar su visión más personal del techno, tomando las bases del género en busca de un sonido contemporáneo y muscular, que mira hacia la pista de baile y el futuro. 

Sus temas han conseguido el apoyo de artistas como Tensal, Adriana Lopez, Loktibrada, Justin Perry,
Lakej, Black Lotus...

Más allá de la música, en 2021 VZSZ colaboró con el sello Global Offensive Corporation, realizando un spot en clave de ficción para su primer lanzamiento. 
Actualmente trabaja en algunos proyectos en los que espera poder volver a unir dos de sus mayores inquietudes; la música techno y la cinematografía.

VZSZ (Pablo Vázquez, 1997) began to be interested in electronic music in the
adolescence, discovering techno when returning to live in his hometown (Madrid).

After several years exploring his soundscapes through mixing, his sound has become based on contemporary techno in its rawest form.

In his sessions, he always tries a constant dialogue and stimulation of the track throug hfast mixes and the use of 3 channels, a technique in which he feels most comfortable to display all his creativity.

Since 2019, VZSZ has made multiple appearances at events such as: Phase Collective, Holle Club, 008 Collective, AlterEgo,...
During 2023, his first productions have seen the light, in which he tries to capture
his most personal vision of techno, taking the bases of the genre in search of a sound contemporary and muscular, looking towards the dance floor and the future. 

The themes of him have gained the support of artists such as Tensal, Adriana Lopez, Loktibrada, Justin Perry, Lakej, Black Lotus...

Beyond music, in 2021 VZSZ collaborated with the Global Offensive Corporation label, making a fictional spot for its first release. He currently works at
some projects in which he hopes to be able to unite two of his greatest concerns again; the techno music and cinematography.
