By way of NYC, Berlin and before that Moscow, vinyl only techno DJ, producer and record label owner Mary Yuzovskaya has been cultivating her unique orbit in the electronic dance music firmament for over 14 years.

Having graced the decks of all Moscow’s hotspots back in the mid-2000s, Mary moved to Berlin, where she became recognised for both her blisteringly-precise vinyl-only techno sets and her painstakingly professional approach to the craft of DJing. After relocating to NYC in 2013 Mary quickly became a key figure in the US scene, performing regularly at different venues including multiple residencies at some of the city’s institutional parties like Unter, where she was a staple for three years, as well as working as a vinyl distribution manager at renowned Brooklyn-based record shop Halcyon. 

Back in Berlin since 2020, Mary solely runs her very own record label called Monday Off ( @monday-off ), launched in 2017, where she curates and presses work from artists that explore techno's trippier, more hypnotic side. Maintaining the connection with North America, she currently holds a residency at Public Records club in Brooklyn.

Mary has been busily traveling the world and performing her unique take on techno music’s deeper vibes at many noted clubs and parties across the world, including ://about blank, Basement, Compound (LA), Distillery (Leipzig), OHM, Output (Brooklyn), Propaganda (Moscow), and Tresor, to name only a few.

Originally from a metalcore and hardcore background he has always enjoyed electronic and experimental music. Heavily influenced by this and the techno scene in Leipzig, Germany with its well known Institut fuer Zukunft his focus is impulsive rhythms, dissociative sounds and dark and eerie atmospheres. As a founding member of PVC he is also co-organising raves in clubs and woods around the Leipzig area. For a few years now he has been exploring the world of producing. Releasing on labels like Crescent London, Further Sessions, Proselytizing and Charybdis he is establishing himself in the scene and always seeking to refine his sound.

Ștefan Stîncescu is a DJ under the name Kethal (@kethal). He uses tactful ways of mixing rhythms while bringing stories to our ears and vibrations.

He managed to create a unique style after experimenting with different genres of electronic music. 

It can be described this way:
"A blend of dynamic and distinct sound while playing at Minimal parties. An interfusion of organic spaces, deep and hypnotic rhythms when mixing at Techno gatherings, with the purpose of raising the collective consciousness. Inspired by mountains and organic algorithms."

Keith’s own style of techno always has a strong emphasis on melodies and groove - it is made for dancing no doubt. Often the melody creates a rather ominous feeling for the listener, but with a certain melancholy to it. This is weighed up expertly with Keith focusing on the tracks being driven forward by strong percussion elements. His compositions contain a fresh vibe that immerses his audience as much as it does with his fellow producer and DJ colleagues.

One of the most active players shaping contemporary Techno, Temudo has developed his own vocabulary creating a unique trademark sound.

His interpretation of the genre is made through a clinical approach, blending the soul of the genre with a modern and unorthodox methodology. With the rare ability to absorb and express different moods keeping the same signature sound, he manages to have the seal of a wide spectrum of labels like Klockworks, Blueprint, Soma or Warm Up - whose work speaks for itself.

His work explores the motion of sound through an instinctive way of working; he makes field recordings and then he extracts movement out of natural sounds, afterwards, he combines these elements into live electronics to create an endless journey. A smooth and organic blend, fusing the electronic and natural world into one ambience. This approach results into emotional, atmospheric and hypnotic art works, which mutate into performances to experience his narrative sound in diverse multi sensorial ways. His live electronic performances have different shapes like podium performance, art exhibitions and sound installations. Among !nertia collaborators are graphic designers, fine artists, musicians, composers.

From Europe’s southern tip in the Gibraltar-facing port city of Algeciras comes ORBE, the Spanish techno enthusiast whose potent beats have hammered out a pedigree path both as DJ and producer. Prevailing winds carried Fernando Sanz first to Seville to study sound engineering, later to Madrid where the fertile scene allowed him to build a community of music-minded friends that have put that city squarely on the map. Under these conditions, his work (what he terms a means of ‘contacting the future, the avant-garde’) has developed into something much deeper and more sophisticated. His love of artists like Brian Eno and Boards of Canada, and roots in breakbeat and drum and bass have informed a style that’s allowed him to take up the mantle as one of Spain’s most interesting talents. Under his self-titled record label (est. 2014) come his signature killer tunes, and in his work with names like Eduardo de la Calle and labels like Token, Hivern Discs, Axis and Mote Evolver a pole position at the forefront of modern techno. Fresh off his set on the Bassiani floor (14th March) comes this next Bassiani mix. Tensile rhythms that lurch ahead with supernatural power, an involute web of intelligent sounds that attest to his skill as selector. Bassiani Podcast 254 is an hour-long mash up of elfin beats, a vibrating hymn to the sounds of tomorrow, Orbe at the top of his game.

Krl Shelby is inspired mostly by dark, industrial and acid techno but don’t get confused when he drops mashed hardgroove, hypnotic, raw or other bangers like he use to recently play as well. Piotr Konieczny, also known as Pierre Rough, is a DJ from Wrocław and an emerging music producer. He is a graduate of the @instytuttechno of Sound, where he gained a solid theoretical and practical foundation in music production and engineering. Pierre Rough developed his mixing skills under the guidance of the experienced DJ and producer known as @r_ethe. This collaboration allowed him to refine his craft both technically and artistically, which is reflected in the ever-increasing quality of his sets and productions. Although his career is just beginning to gain momentum, he already stands out for his passion for music and his consistent efforts to develop his own style.
