Process notes: I used a probability gate (Count Modula's Chances module)to block 75% of clocks to the voices, on average over time. I took it as ok to let reverb tails count as silence. The resulting clip was brought into Reaper where I used a limiter on the master channel.

Paravision invite Strabisme Auditif ~ 18.10.2023

Italian composer and producer of experimental electronic music Corgiat, aka Giovanni Corgiat Mecio. Born in 1995, he specialized in Electroacoustic Music Composition at the Conservatory of Turin. His research is based on the deconstruction of classical compositional forms and on the exploration of processes, recombinations and transformations sound. He has performed at various festivals such as Movement, Robot, Seeyousound, Nextones.

"What was a really crucial sonic experience for you?"
"It is difficult to sum it all up in one experience, I will try to describe it in 3.
In front of my childhood home is a paper mill whose machinery sound has always fascinated me, the complex sound gestures these machines can create are incredibly musical. Another pivotal experience was watching the film Arrival whose soundtrack by Jóhann Jóhannsson: the way he uses human voices makes me cry every time. Finally, the third is Keith Jarrett's concert at the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome (2016), he plays solos floating above time but always attached to it, sometimes it seems to be minimalism, but never predictable. I like to think of his music as an inspiration to go further starting from classical forms."
