Fresh from his Boiler Room debut in Madrid last month, the Swiss DJ and producer Andrea Oliva makes his debut on Hot Creations with We Trust. Having built a solid reputation through relentless touring and a string of impressive releases, Oliva delivers two original cuts showcasing his skillful production.

The driving and incredibly infectious title track We Trust uses all of the techniques required for a club classic; a looping vocal layered over charged drums, culminating in a fearless breakdown. On the reverse, Soho Nights delivers a hook so catchy it’s a certified Ibiza classic in the making.

Oliva’s journey began at a young age, educating himself in record shops and eventually teaming up with Nordstern founder, Agi Isaku, hosting the successful Banditz parties throughout Switzerland.

A firm favourite in the Ibiza scene, Oliva’s remix of Luciano’s Rise Of Angels on Cadenza catapulted him into the global spotlight and releases on Moonharbour, Desolat, Objektivity and Cuttin’ Headz soon followed.

DC175 comes courtesy of Alias, a new project comprising of Harvey & Ryan McKay, who are two acts who have previously released solo material on the label. Harvey McKay’s last appearance was in late 2016 when he dropped ‘The Mad Drummer’ on A-Sides Vol. 4 whereas Ryan McKay’s last outing was in 2015 when he appeared on A-Sides Vol.3 under the name Skiver. This is the first collaborative project between the Scottish duo under their new moniker Alias.

The EP opens with ‘Pentatonic’; A tough sounding track that has been designed for the forward-thinkers. ‘The Truth’ follows up sharply, with vintage piano stabs and a vocal that gives the track abounding energy. The on-point percussion leads you on a trip of pure rapture. The release closes with the apocalyptic ‘Dream Taker’, which is teeming with sinister vocal action, hostile synth work and a sublime way to sign off.

ELEVATE – a label started by one of the best loved techno duos of the moment Pig&Dan, focuses on releasing music to make the listener feel just that – ‘elevated’. Since its inception in 2012, its seen a stream of hits climb the Beatport charts, featuring artists including Amelie Lens, Monika Kruse, Christian Smith, Julian Jeweil and Matador among many others.

Its 75th release comes from none other than the label bosses themselves, marking Pig&Dan’s 7th solo EP on the label.

Kicking things off, the title track “Starting Again” has a slamming kick and crisp shaker shuffle that sets the pace. It's a driving cut designed for an intense dancefloor experience. The vocals and synth collaborate effortlessly, delivering a subtle but beautiful breakdown.

Deep in those morning hours “A.M.” brings a dark abyss like track with a haunting synth pattern coupled by a bellowing horn. Both dominate the soundscape as vocal echoes escape into the mix.

Modulating low end and funked out percussion stabs roll through “In My Mind”, the filtered vocal leaks delicately in and out of the darkness, whilst the hook emerges in satisfying ooze like form.

Fast pace, old school techno inspiration comes in the form of “Obsession” to close out the EP. It comes at you with bump and swing. It’s got simple but super catchy vocals, rolling between that rhythmic peak time groove.

About the EP :
After contributing a remix for Satori's track 'Bad Looking Trouble' on Underyourskin Records last year Armenian breed producer Hraach releases his first EP 'Hidden Demension' on the label. The four tracker comes along with two original versions the title track and 'Nemesis' and two remixes by Tara Brooks and Kora. 'Hidden Demension' starts off with a luscious baseline and a single synthloop that in the course of the track switches it's tonality and is enriched with guitar sounds that remain in the background to support the the lead synth. Due to the combination of the aforementioned elements the track is a one take groover expressing the beauty of melancholy to the fullest. Kora adds a more crunchy baseline and a soft and gentle break to the original version that lets one enjoy and breathe the sentimentality and sorrow. 'Nemesis' takes the same line in terms of emotions than the EP's title track but focuses on a mindtwisting approach taking one mentally into different spheres and releasing the listener with a flute and alternate synth sounds. LAbased producer Tara Brooks adds her desertish vibe to the original as if a slight storm raises the sand around people's feet that are tickled by every grain
