In perhaps our darkest mix to date, Swedish-Sri Lancan @Kalawila sets us off on an eerie, droning ride through interplanetary disharmonics and liquid percussion.

Fresh off his Tresor-debut as part of their continous House Of Waxx night, with upcoming releases on established Stockholm imprint @Bossmusik (BOSS-006 - Krokodil når Västerås EP), and his second outing on self-run label Mountain Explosion Device, he is definitely someone to keep an eye out for.

Appreciation Mix #22: Kalawila

Vit Fana is the solo moniker of Ossian Ohlsson. His music has appeared invariably in cassette-form, on prolific Danish punk and noise label Posh Isolation as well as on Abdulla Rashim’s Northern Electronics.
He is also a member of Body Sculptures, a recent collective project of five unique voices in Scandinavian electronic music today.
”The Base of All Beauty is the Body” collects the earliest work of the project, and most of the material on this debut release was recorded by Rönnberg, Rahbek & Ohlsson before the full line up of the band had been established. ”The Base of all Beauty is the Body,” whilst being a beautiful debut of powerful and emotional music, is also a promise of more to come.
