The piece was written between September and December of 2020 and it is inspired by the epic of Gilgamesh, our intertemporal relation with the observation of the sky and the perpetual attempt of human to conceive the laws of nature.

The piece was composed during January and March 2021. It is inspired by the poem “The tree” (1955) written by the poet Zoe Karelli and the way the poet approaches the flux of time and the endless metamorphoses of nature. Dedicated to every end that turns to a new beginning.

The Branches Bend, The Memories Collide for sax, acc, vln and vc

The piece "Gone in No time" consists of three sections each expressing a different angle of approaching the concept of rotation and transformation. The elements of the fragmented repetitions which attempt to draw us back to memories and the insistence of the piece on been developed in time are the main conceptual goals.

The title and the piece are inspired by the one-act play "That Time" by Samuel Beckett:  

“not a sound only the old breath and the leaves turning and then suddenly this dust whole place suddenly full of dust when you opened your eyes from floor to ceiling nothing only dust and not a sound only what was it it said come and gone was that it something like that come and gone come and gone no one come and gone in no time gone in no time”

one that will transcend the unsound cyclic nature of uncertainty,
that the afterlight reveals a retaliating barrenness adorned with thorns.

Bottomless mudcracks penetrate the viscera of the imagined world. 
Yet, in absence, life treads forwards, whispers rise as unwavering chants.
The beauty of the scorched land lies in the abundance of juxtaposed 
impossibilities.
Still, the soul wanders amidst harsh epiphanies that unfold their coarse
truth.
Fate, for now, is adjourned.

CHRYSALIS for ensemble (2023)

The “Iridescent schemes” was written between May to July 2023, inspired by the ways our perception on different things shifts endlessly - under the influence of every new “slant of light” (Emily Dickenson). The title of the piece derives from the phenomenon of goniochromism (from the Greek: gonia, meaning angle and chroma, meaning color) when certain surfaces appear to gradually change color as the angle of view or the angle of illumination changes.

The piece was commissioned by Georges Aperghis and is dedicated to him and the Schallfeld ensemble.

Iridescent Schemes - Schallfeld Ensemble

lullaby(e) for
Flute (picc. Bass), Clarinet (Bb, Bb Bass), Percussion, Piano, Accordion, Violin, Violoncello, Double Bass and electronics

As the title suggests, this work serves as the final lullaby one hears. The catastrophic aftermath of the recent earthquake in Turkey has profoundly affected even those who were not directly impacted by the disaster. This composition is the product of the thoughts that have occupied my mind since that fateful day.
The tape segment of the piece involves the manipulation of a recorded excerpt from the Turkish lullaby "Dandini Dandini Dasdana."
