Tash's Movement Recordings rounds out the month of November by welcoming Tomy Wahl to the label for his debut EP. Hailing from Argentina, Tomy Wahl has been a fixture of his country's electronic underground for the better part of a decade. With a sound that finds a cohesive balance between afro, progressive and melodic house, the Buenos Aires resident has compiled an impressive resume, notching releases on well-established imprints such as Eleatics, Sincopat and Stil Vor Talent, while earning support from Adam Beyer, Richie Hawtin and Solomun. Now, following a well-received single for Rezongar Music, Tomy makes his Movement Recordings debut with 'Out Of My Mind', alongside a remix from Vakabular. Much lauded for his melodic sound, Tomy continues to explore that narrative on 'Out Of My Mind'. Wrapped within a DJ friendly intro are punchy beats, pulsating basslines and a myriad of orbiting synths. The Argentine's storyboarding takes hold as charming overlays, robotized vocals and clustered rhythms emerge across the first act, carrying with them a sense of anticipation and drama. The main break showcases Tomy's keen dancefloor vision, as vocals percolate before eventually giving way to a groovy drop and uplifting finale. The companion piece 'Sen Sei' continues the progressive tone set by its predecessor and lands with an equally large dancefloor presence. Possessing a powerful undercurrent, Tomy blends entrancing percussion, chirpy chord stabs and vibrant melodies over chugging grooves and sparkling effects, creating a modern club-effective vibe in the process. Its dramatic appeal builds across a twisted break, where pitch-bending effects and cinematic pads converge, perfectly setting up an exhilarating build and stab-driven finale. The release concludes with Vakabular making his debut with the lone interpretation of 'Out Of My Mind'. As one of Thailand's premiere progressive house artists, Koh Phangan based Vakabular has enjoyed a strong eight year run since first emerging in 2016. His club-effective style has yielded support from Armin Van Buuren, Markus Schulz and Paul Van Dyk, and in turn secured projects via Outta Limits and Vandit Alternative. Now, following a string of projects for his Hollystone imprint, Vakabular debuts on Movement with a huge rendition of 'Out Of My Mind'. Beginning with a buoyant kick and chugging groove, Vakabular channels the melodic energy of the original through panoramic synths, rugged stabs and a more distinct vocal representation, before a sci-fi break delivers a mood lifting excursion, perfectly seting up a tastefully timeless finale.

We’re back in the capital with the 11th installment of the “Stil vor Talent Berlin” compilation series, which brings forth a group of old and new faces exclusively contributing tracks, gathered under the umbrella of one of Berlin’s refreshing delights – Spreepark.

With the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, the merry-go-rounds of the initial Kulturpark Plänterwald along the Spree River continued to spin, reborn as Spreepark. The fairground flourished until 2001, enticing Berliners with roller coasters, a Ferris wheel, and a vibrant cultural program, transforming the riverbank into a verdant oasis of enjoyment. However, in 2001, the wheels of time came to a halt as nature reclaimed its space. Amidst the city, flora and fauna flourished, turning Spreepark into a mystical realm that captivated urban explorers navigating through the overgrown remnants of the past.

In 2016, a new chapter unfolded with the initiation of plans to rejuvenate Spreepark through collaborative efforts with Berliners to redefine the space. Jumping ahead to 2023, the city unveiled the first glimpse of the renewed Spreepark with the opening of a beer garden at the historic Eierhäuschen. The vision of a park seamlessly blending art, culture, and unique urban nature is gradually taking shape, with the entire Spreepark anticipated to welcome the public in 2026.

As always, music is the common denominator here and Oliver Koletzki delivers the perfect soundtrack with this new release, while Chrisse Kunst renders the visuals. The featured artists on this exceptional compilation include Jan René Lai, Kellerkind, Deckert & Sascha Home, Malandra Jr., Mila journée & Kiko, Jiggler & Vincent Marlice, Local Dialect, Annett Gapstream & Daniele Di Martino, Fur Coat, Robin Schellenberg & Rauschhaus, Ark Nomads & Cosmosolar, Steve Six, Björn Störig, and Deniz Kabu.

As the melodies of Stil vor Talent resonate, they serve not only as a musical tribute to Spreepark’s rich history but as an invitation to partake in the unfolding symphony of the park’s vibrant future. Join the ride!

For the epic remix of their track 'Secret Weapon,' they have enlisted the very talented DJ and producer, Kiko. Kiko has been delighting electronic music fans for two decades, releasing on labels such as Afterlife, Get Physical, Bedrock Records, Diynamic Music, Stil vor Talent, and many more. His eclectic discography blends Melodic Techno and Indie Dance and includes several hits. Kiko has even collaborated with David Guetta under his alias, Jack Back.
