From his early days at remote desert gatherings, to his constant touring of clubs and music festivals with world renowned downtempo sensation Desert Dwellers, his career has traversed many musical styles and genres. Blending world music with cutting-edge sound design, Amani Friend has amassed an enormous catalog between his projects Desert Dwellers, Liquid Bloom, and Variant Field. Traveling the international festival circuit and staying on the road with a jam-packed schedule, AMANI continues to bring his alchemy of ancient-future psychedelia to dance floors around the globe. Equally adept at sonically fueling the spirit of large yoga classes or high-energy dance floors, Amani’s sonic offerings provide a journey into the imaginative realms of movement and sound.

DJ Shadow, widely acknowledged as a crucial figure in the development of experimental, instrumental hip-hop, will return with ‘The Mountain Will Fall’ worldwide on June 24 via Mass Appeal Records [and Believe Digital in France], his first full length release since 2011.  The 12-track album finds DJ Shadow exploring new realms in addition to the deep samples and kinetic soundscapes that helped to launch his career 20 years ago.  On ‘The Mountain Will Fall’ he’s shifted further toward original composition, a vast experimentation of beats and textures, synthesizers and live instruments including horns and woodwinds.  The album features Run The Jewels, Nils Frahm, Matthew Halsall, Ernie Fresh and more.

Eric grew up in southwest Florida in a very musical Baptist family. At an early age he discovered skateboarding, and this became his foundation and community for music, art and fashion. One thing led to another, and after playing various instruments in different bands in his early 20's he found himself tending bar at a club in London. It was there that he discovered contemporaries that allowed him to expand his ideas of music from acoustic to electronic.

Now in Brooklyn, he feels like he his surrounded by more talented people than ever before. He and his high-school buddy John Petro play together in a electronic-based project called Mariner.  He is inspired by people, ideas and endeavors that traverse the spectrum - those that cross through genre and subvert expectation.

Mysteries of the Deep is a New York-based record label, podcast, and event series — focused on ambient & experimental music in various forms. Mysteries — as fans lovingly call it — is concerned with exploration of unknown realms, and its focus, in addition to showcasing a dynamic spectrum of electronic music from foremost artists in the field, is to thoughtfully engage its audience. 

Conceptualized in 2011, Mysteries began as a podcast series that, now in its eleventh year, has hosted an array of mixes and original works. The project has since evolved, expanding into a curated global event series and record label.
