ÂMÂDO is an Egyptian music producer / Dj with authentic organic electronic fusion that delivers classy and downtempo beats.

He takes a mystical approach to sound and storytelling.

His roots in the organic and desert house scene are deep.  He was mentored by the legend Ali Farahani of Pipe & Pochet.  
His circles include colleagues Goro of Orientaldeep and friends Evan Mars and Special K, who are past and upcoming guests on the Odyssey themselves.

He will be releasing music soon on the renowned trndmsk and Cafe De Anatolia labels.

He is also the founder of Chapeau Records.
Thus, his musical vision and abilities come from a deep and solid foundation.

What is more is his pursuit of the vintage, rustic aesthetic in fashion, to complete the full experience of his artistic journey.
He has recently started his own fashion company by the name of Pipe & Chapeau.

In this week's episode we are very proud and honored to introduce you to our dear friend and brother, Evan Mars.  Evan, in the past known as DJ Akkad, is Syrian born and raised and now lives in Egypt currently.  He is a family man and deeply spiritual, and his music has definitely reflected this deep soul and loving heart.  

He comes from a very musical family, and is cousin to another well-known Syrian artist who is also part of the Odyssey family:  Special K https://soundcloud.com/mr_kamal85.  Both have performed together and are affiliated with the top artists in the Middle Eastern electronic scene, staying at the forefront of innovation in sound and performance.

Evan is the owner and founder of Immortal Bass Records.  He is has been released, along with https://soundcloud.com/immortalbassrecords, on https://soundcloud.com/orientaldeepevents, https://soundcloud.com/cafedeanatolia, and https://soundcloud.com/trndmusik.  He has cultivated a large following and hopes to keep building a strong, authentic community of passionate musicians and listeners alike.  

He is one of the top Middle Eastern producers and great supporter of the storytelling style.  From playing in exotic locations like the Sinai Desert to the Great Pyramids of Egypt to the biggest clubs of the Middle East, he always takes us on the mystical journey of the soul. 

He has been a man who has helped propel the desert house sound in organic house and downtempo/slow tech.  A perfect fit for the likes of Burning Man and other major desert festivals.  Mystical vocals, ney and zurna, oud, tambourines, bells, mesmerizing synthesizers, and more providing incredible atmosphere and providing a vivid dreamscape and vision world.

Hailing from Denver, Colorado, USA, https://soundcloud.com/djcharliebuckets has a long and storied relationship with music.  It started as a young boy listening to the radio and making his own mixtapes on to cassettes. At age 13, he was gifted a guitar for Christmas and from there, taught himself to play by listening to said mixtapes.  This method allowed him to train his ear from a very young age, a gift that has served him well in his latest musical journey.  

Shortly thereafter, he was introduced to electronic music when he joined a group of friends on a journey to his first rave.  Immediately he became “Candy Kid”, and the permeating ideal of “PLUR” was ingrained.  The raver kid within him remained dormant as he focused on building a career in the real world.  

A rebirth occurred when Charlie started venturing out in the Denver local scene reigniting his passion and reminding him of his roots.  He has since taught himself to DJ which came to him naturally as he frequently utilized his trained ear.

The next stop on the Bucket train is production as he is currently working on making music through Ableton, using a guitar as his guide after all of these years. The main goal of Charlie’s music is to share his emotions in hopes of bringing happiness and love (while occasionally teetering on the dark side) to the world en masse.

Formerly known as Hernan B, https://soundcloud.com/hernan-b-496862575 has risen from the rich local Panamanian music scene to retain his local roots, which come from both the traditions of the native tribal people and the Spanish European culture, and also to expand more deeply and outwardly to fuse with other world cultures and religions, particularly the Hindu spiritual tradition of India.  His label, https://soundcloud.com/shakti-records-974241734, brings us his vision and and the visions of the artists who release their sounds on the label.  Thus, we now understand the heart of Kumara's journey and storytelling.  

The Kumaras are four sages (rishis) from the Puranic texts of Hinduism who roam the universe as children, generally named Sanaka, Sanandana, Sanatana, and Sanatkumara. They are described as the first mind-born creations and sons of the creator-god Brahma. Born from Brahma's mind, the four Kumaras undertook lifelong vows of celibacy (brahmacharya) against the wishes of their father. They are said to wander throughout the materialistic and spiritualistic universe without any desire but with purpose to teach. All four brothers studied Vedas from their childhood, and always travelled together.

The Bhagavata Purana lists the Kumaras among the twelve mahajanas (great devotees or bhaktas)who although being eternally liberated souls from birth, still became attracted to the devotional service of Vishnu from their already enlightened state. They play a significant role in a number of Hindu spiritual traditions, especially those associated with the worship of Vishnu and his avatar Krishna, sometimes even in traditions related to Shiva.

Self-realization and enlightenment fill the world of Kumara.  We will see this coming to life in his journey for us.  Kumara will go deep into the forest, high upon the mountain, far into the dry desert, sail upon the waves of the great and wide ocean, and through the fertile plains of the world. Early Electro and Acid House lead him into the realms of the Rave Scene from 1988 - 1993 and the world of Pirate Radio Stations. Sunrise & Biology enveloped London's airwaves. From there, he developed his love for Electronic Music. Organic House, Deep House, Progressive House, Melodic House, with a bit of Techno and Ambient thrown in. 

SRS has a sense of what visions and dreams are for in life, and sees the connection between them and music.  His journeys into nature around the world have informed his soul of the vital importance of what truly is organic in life and music.

For previous guest on The Odyssey's Explorers series, Italian DJ and artist Krista Lou attributes the vast musical culture experienced in her early years to her passion for music.  She was a big fan of the House classic "Old School".

The years that she spent later between Barcelona and Ibiza defines her style more these days, and her musical personality shows several facets between Minimal House, Progressive and more electronic sounds, but always marking her personal touch with tribal atmospheres mixing hypnotic and brilliant sounds.

Musical curation is part of her work. Her DJ sets tell stories, where her technique and form is unmistakable because nothing is random, and everything worked from harmonic knowledge.

She is a DJ host and Resident in different international radio programs and clubs in Spain and Italy.

Krista Lou lives on a farm in the Italian countryside, enjoying time with her family and horses.  She urges all of us to seek an authentic path and avoid the harmful messages and toxic energy of modern culture and news.  She believes being natural and spiritual is the key to living a fruitful and meaningful life.

https://soundcloud.com/cielo_us, the brainchild of DJ/Producer Reed Black, is a project that has been years in the making. It could be said that the primordial essence of this journey began in 2011. Bed-ridden for days with the flu but still with an active and creative mind, he started assembling tracks in Garageband on an iPad. After playing the results for his friends who were in school for music, they demanded he pick up Ableton, and dedicate more time and effort towards producing. 

After a few years of bedroom producing, his tracks caught the attention of Stonecutter Recording Studios in Chicago. There he upped his recording and audio engineering game, but primarily worked as an in-house producer. Working with clients to help sharpen their vision for what their sound could and should be, he had opportunities to work with artists big and small, and is credited as an assistant engineer and/or co-producer on a variety of works ranging from rap and dance to metal and pop.  

As life changed, he stepped away from production for a while to fulfill a years-long dream of moving to Colorado to be closer to the mountains he loves. But even while he was undergoing these changes - a new career path, healing his soul, and building relationships, he was always absorbing new artistic influences. In 2021 he launched Cielo, the organic house artist, and released his debut EP, Sweet Rain on Be Adult Music in 2022. This freshman outing hit Number 5 in organic house releases, and the title track broke the Hype Organic House top 10.

He then went on to found the Denver house producers' collective, podcast, and promotion entity https://soundcloud.com/skyterrace. Sky Terrace maintains very close ties and a familial bond with our Primordial Grooves Collective.  Since the founding of Sky Terrace, he's released a flurry of remixes, singles and collaborations. His follow-up EP will be out later this year, which he would describe as a marked step towards a dancier, funkier sound. Deep in his soul he is a man of the groove and seeks to anchor his melodic-driven sound in a groove that's rooted in funk.

Here on the Primordial Podcast, he largely steps away from this typical-upbeat organic house style in favor of slowing it down and bringing it back to his roots with a global mid-tempo suite laced with funk, and drenched in psychedelia.  A masterful, powerful journey of the soul for all of us to experience, as experiencing music truly is part of the consummate human experience!

He also had  a career as Maritime Professional and started exploring the world at the age of 18 on the trading vessels. 

Music always was his passion, since he remembers himself, it was escape to mythic and dreamy reality from the ordinary world.  He played the guitar and had a teenage rock-band, and took some lessons, but finally it didn’t stick. 

11 years later he spent 3 years learning Vedic Astrology to understand that music and art plays vital part for realization his individual Purpose.  Yoga and Shamanic practices facilitated the healing and allowed to embrace his nature and overcome various psychological blocks.

He is sharing his knowledge  in Yoga, Philosophy, Psychology to facilitate the inner-dialogue with our Psyche. He uses Vedic Astrology (Ancient Psychology) to help navigate the road to the Individual Purpose to all the Seekers. 

In his DJ sets he aims to activate the Ecstatic Principle, which brings the Transcendence and Joy, while awakened. 

He started mixing in 2022 in Koh Phangan with his «Ecstatic Goddess» sets.   The emotional cocktail served during his sets may be dark, melodic then uplifting, euphoric and finally hypnotic and meditative, inspired by ethnic and tribal motives of cultures he lived in -  releasing full emotional spectrum, facilitating the sensual ex-stasis, which triggers the soul exploration  full of insights.

DJ and Yoga teacher, Rai Duran's style is to connect ethnic, Indian and organic elements in the electronic beat with touches of psychedelia. She brings elements of nature, drums and flutes into her presentations, through progressive melodies that navigate between organic and progressive house;melodic and minimal techno; chill out and trance. Her stage presence and sounds vibrate the floor, creating a deep and intense atmosphere. 

She is from São Paulo and currently lives in Florianópolis, building a career focused on parties and festivals around Brazil. She is co-founder of the Ecstatic Dance Floripa movement, with the idea of bringing conscious events to the local public. She sees music as an instrument of connection and expansion of consciousness, and intends to expand this kind of message in different parts of the world.

Mettā Bhavana Meditation

Mettā (Pāli) or Maitrī (Sanskrit) means benevolence, loving-kindness, friendship, goodwill and active interest in others, the first of the four sublime states (Brahmaviharas) of Buddhist virtues and one of the 10 Pāramis in the Theravāda school of Buddhism.

The objective of Mettā meditation is detached love acting on kindness and love.  Starting first with ourselves, followed by our close and loved ones, these are followed by those neutral or unknown people, and then those people who, for some reason, had a bad time or who have hurt us. By doing this, we can come to feel Mettā in a universal way, feeling love and goodwill towards everyone and everything!  Selfless love!  Cultivating in ourselves, self-love and equanimity (a sublime state) towards others!  One way to practice Mettā is to medítate on phrases like "I wish that you experience happiness and be free from suffering."  Someone who has cultivated Mettā will not easily be afraid and will be able to subjugate it by being more loving and more prone to unconditional love.

In these times of violent unrest, widespread unrest and suffering, the need for a practice like mettā-bhāvanā is clear.  So that peace and harmony reign throughout the world.

Desert Raven says that suffering in life can produce great emotional and spiritual and mental healing and growth, in a mystical transformation of the pain and woundedness and death into new life.

The passing of his brother in early 2024 is something that he says catalyzed a massive new phase of personal growth and healing, and in a strange, but holy way, help complete a long period of new growth in which he was becoming tried and tested in the fire of life and being given a deeper, much more mystical daily approach to life, with prayer and time spend descending deeply into his heart, sinking even deeper into God.  He began to experience and incredibly new wave of love, for God, for himself, and for others, especially his family.

Love is the mystical answer.

In this growth in the fire, Desert Raven felt that this message and sounds purified and grew very powerful in the spiritual sense.  It liberated him in the mind, in order to dive deeper and soar higher in the spirit, in order to organically and healthfully express his mixed emotions of sadness, joy, anger, while still maintaining a humble sense of living and seeking the betterment of the mankind.  Suffering and loss can give great music growth and incredible, miraculous expression in art.  Desert Raven feels this certainly happened to him.

This is also what gave him the vision for the Mystical Vision podcast.

Now, Desert Raven has forsaken the world and is limited, empty way, and instead embracing the mystlcal path, and let the dynamic spiritual energies of God flow through him naturally and powerfully.
