When the monstrous Typhon rose from Tartarus to overthrow Olympus, the heavens shook and even the gods fled in terror. Amid the chaos, Aphrodite and Eros refused to be parted, binding themselves with a golden cord and leaping together into the Euphrates, where they transformed into two fish so that love would endure where divine power had failed. Carried by the river’s current, their bond became eternal, stronger than storm or fire, and Zeus honored their courage by raising them into the stars as the constellation Pisces. Though Typhon was banished beneath Mount Etna, his fury rumbling still in volcano and storm, the heavens remember the lovers forever — their flame shining eternal, their cord unbroken, their names written in the sky.
