This doesn't have a whole lot going on in it as far as background rhythms. For this track, I was aiming for something that felt dreamlike (hence the nightmare in the title), so I padded it with some deep soundscape elements that are there just to add depth and a little motion to make us feel as though we're drifting away. 

I wanted this piece to be all about the music box and vocal work. I wanted it to make us feel like we were stuck in a nightmare, floating away in some unknown reality and there wasn't a thing we could do about it.
