The next episode in the Nachtblumen Podcast series comes from @ryogoyamamoritracks - a Japanese DJ and Producer based in Tokyo, Japan. 

He is one of the most known and recognized artists in the local Japanese scene. With over 20 years of experience in the electronic music industry, and playing clubs like Womb and Vent in Tokyo, he also had the chance to tour the world and present his deep, hypnotic driving sound to a wider audience.

‘’I started going to clubs in Japan when I was in high school, which was the beginning of club music. The major influences that came to Japan were New York House, Chicago, Detroit, and later Kraftwerk from Europe. It was around that time that I became interested in DJing and started buying records. I bought so many records that I had no room to walk around. When the digital age came along, I couldn't accept it, so I slept with my records!!’’

Acclaimed also as a producer, Ryogo Yamamori has established a platform of his sounds on 951beat and it has grown to feature some of his closest affiliates including Kan Shinomura, Hisaharu Sato,Skoll,Sinnertia. Ryogo has released on respected labels all around the world including his ‘’Trinity’’ EP on Josh Wink’s Ovum, a contribution to the ‘’Hot Steel 2’’ VA on Nina Kraviz’ трип, and his outstanding work on Psyk’s Non Series. Nowadays his focus is mostly on developing his own imprint Kagerou and releasing a lot of his solo work there!

The set he recorded for Nachtblumen is a label showcase of unreleased works of his that are soon to come up on his label in the upcoming months! It is an elegant, hypnotic journey into the world of Kagerou that will make you daydream about those heavenly Japanese landscapes and atmospheres. Press play and enjoy!

Nachtblumen Podcast #17 Ryogo Yamamori

The first podcast for 2022 comes from the Dutch DJ and Producer Rambadu, who is born and based in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. 

Rambadu entered the world of electronic music at an early age through various experiences in his hometown. Driven by the love and passion for this music, he got into DJing and soon after that he was often playing around town. 

For the past 12 years, he has devoted most of his time to producing, and as of recently launched his own label - Rambadu. Next to his solo productions on his imprint, some other releases include: a remix for Vanoni on Ritualism Records, his solo EP ''AJNA'' on Hypnus Records, and an upcoming appearence on Claudio PRC's imprint 012 on V/A Systema Naturae I along side: Claudio PRC, Forest On Stasys and Dycide.

Rambadu's sound can be characterized by its floating energy, organic sounds and droning atmospheres. In this mix he demonstrates fluid mixing skills over three decks, where the listener is invited to experience a dynamic endeavour. Born in Argentina, but living most of her life in the Canary Islands, and currently residing in the city of Barcelona, Imox entered the world of mixing during her adolescence, teaching herself, experimenting with different genres until she found her sound marked by a high mental, organic and enveloping content.
Imox is a Mayan Nahuatl, it represents the divinity or essence of the universe, the very root from which all life arises and to which it returns when it dies; and this is how her sessions unfold, an organic evolution like the very process of life. Her sound transports us to the atmospheres and natural landscapes of the island of her childhood, accompanied by hypnotic grooves, tribal elements and cosmic textures, a progressive journey through unknown dimensions with overwhelming intensity.
Imox is member of Barcelona based collective SubRadio.
Since she started to play as Imox, she has been showing her finesse in the mix and her great music selection in the main clubs of the city such as Razzmatazz, Apolo, Moog, LAUT or Red58, and this 2023 she will play at Mostra Festival.

We are honored to have Czech DJ Marie Pradva join our mix series. Marie tells us: This mix was recorded at an event in Ankali club, in coldancefloor with my favorite crew from the Seismic label. I had the pleasure of playing at their festival this summer, but unfortunately, my set was cut short by the police — and to make matters worse, the recording was lost.

With this set, I finally had the chance to make up for it. It takes listeners on a proper journey: starting with deep ambient sounds to set the mood of the night, gradually building energy as the dancefloor fills, and eventually diving into the heavy 140 BPM swamp.
