a morning warm up in a sea of mud overlooking Mt Fuji. This was my first set of the day, to be followed a few hours later with a b2b, at the very first edition of Transcendence, a cute and cosy festival in Japan. Big thank you to Takumi Inamoto and DJ Maria for everything.

I first became aware of the Harmony label when they released ‘Natives’ an EP by prolific techno producer Alan Backdrop in 2019. Since this time, I’ve followed their lead, been enchanted by their always impressive musical outputs and enamoured - yet only from afar by their magical parties. Made up of multi-talented individuals, as a collective they coalesce as a group of kindred souls united by a shared wellspring of boundless creativity. Their events are always a spectacle, whether collaborating with the likes of Midgar, Kalahari Oyster Cult and X or running it solo, they have the power and passion to transform almost any space into a uniquely vibrant, community-minded party place. From UNESCO-listed libraries, gymnasiums and forest floors, no event is too big or too out there for Harmony to pull off. Across their music, events and DJ sets, they ooze a sense of profound intent whilst being effortlessly playful. In a world that can sometimes feel unnecessarily, individualistic the Harmony crew continues to shine a light on the power of bringing together our creative minds.

The recording of my set from La Nature Festival, recorded 12-3PM on a glorious sunny Sunday on the 23rd of June 2024.

This was one of my favourite sets this summer, I was so honoured to be playing before the legendary DJ Nobu, and spent time preparing for this set gathering bright~dubby~daytime techno with a zippy flair and uplifting energy 🧚

The set features lots of tracks I’ve been enjoying this summer, including music by: Tsott, GiGi FM, Azu Tiwaline, Vladw, Al Wootton, Sindh, Luigi Tozzi, Konduku, Stojche, Ness, Ruman, Rene Wise, Fireground, Forest On Stasys, Kohra & Midnight Traffic +++

The woodland location of this Belgian festival was stunning, and playing on this delicious Lambda Labs sound system was such a treat. Thanks again to Julien @noname_community & Daniel[i] @danieli_whs for the invitation to join this year’s edition 🧡🌲

Aurora Halal is a producer, DJ and creator of Brooklyn’s influential Mutual Dreaming party series & the Sustain-Release festival.

Shadowy and psychedelic, her hardware live & DJ sets have a hazy sensuality and metallic dance floor intensity that’s at turns playful, dark, euphoric and emotionally vulnerable. In all her projects, she treats dance music as an are­na for trans­for­ma­tion and since 2010, her events have been root­ed in an under­ground, DIY approach that push­es for­ward-think­ing sounds, pro­duc­tion, and ideas. She’s spent the last 10 years tour­ing like-mind­ed clubs, raves, and fes­ti­vals world­wide and gained a rep­u­ta­tion for pow­er­ful, unique per­for­mances that work both the body and mind. She’s 4 years into a res­i­den­cy at NYC’s Nowa­days, is a reg­u­lar at Berghain and pre­vi­ous­ly De School.

NEXUS 35 THE TIME HAS COME

Ever since his first visit to Olganitz, So (@satoshiaoyagi) has been a close friend of the Nachti family - joining us for some of our club dates as well as, of course, for the last edition of our beloved summer celebration. After opening our Open Air Stage on Friday, we also asked him to play a second set on our Ambient Stage on Saturday - and he did it with just so much elegance and grace as we know from his dancefloor sets.
