The song "virgo moon" flowed forth under the light of the virgo full moon in 2021 in a transformative period of my life. I was deep in inner contemplation and in work to better understand my soul's purpose. The lyrics & melody came through me as I meditated & prayed. It is rooted in reconnection to earth & lunar cycles. It's the purest expression of devotion I can offer to our mother earth, who gives unconditionally. Ultimately, "virgo moon" is my prayer for humanity as we embark on a transition from a disconnected, extractive society to one rooted in community, belonging, and interdependence with all of creation.

Sending the song as a voice memo to my dear brothers, Josiah Proietti (guitar) & Aaron Hoopes (percussion), they added their own unique flare. This was our first and only recording of "virgo moon", recorded on an iPhone in Vershire, Vermont on April 18, 2021. 

True to my Virgo nature, this song has sat untouched for 4 years. I've waited for there to be a more opportune time to refine & perfect it. 

Now, on a full moon eclipse in virgo in 2025, I'm releasing my own tendencies to stifle my creative offerings in pursuit of perfection. So...here it is in its rawest, truest form. May it be medicine for you, too.
