really excellently realized Nadine! I'm always drawn to the darker themes in music (I seem to always root for the villain in movies, lol!). I don't know that I'd be able to pull this off by myself, vocally anyway, but Michael does indeed make it work with both his lyric and performance. And the way you handle the feeling of continually moving forward, with those dissonant 'interruptions' is so effective. Dissonance should be used more in music! Really impressed with this one  :)

Powerful song expressing painful reality, so honest and real, the longing vocals and music arrangement capture the feelings perfectly!

A deep and dark song about sorrow and sadness. Initially written on piano, I decided to add dissonances and abstract soundscapes. I am very happy that Michael leaned into the dark theme and wrote sparse lyrics with a lot of meaning in between the words.
