3 QUESTIONS to BETOKO:

Q: Talking about your mix: what do these tracks mean to you? In which way did they influence your later career?

A: Every track on this mix had some kind of influence in my sound, whether the drums or basslines, I can´t really specify what it is but each of them touched me in a different way.

Q: You have already played in so many parts of the planet. Where is your favorite spot to DJ?

A: I really love playing in argentina, the crowd has got a very special energy and really connect with my sets, it feels natural and super vibrant!

Q: There is a release on SOSO out in march. Which other Betoko projects can we expect this year?

A: Yes, March 24th with an amazing remix by label boss Oliver Schories! There will also be an EP on Einmusika in August, a collab EP with Mason, and a follow up EP on Smiley Fingers.

Passing through the city ahead of her gig at The Steelyard a few days prior, Toronto based artist 'juSt b' dropped into the Bloop London studio for a in house live 1 hour guest mix. Broadcasted live from the heart of Central London. 

This year has been one of big milestones for the girl who left the quiet capital of Ottawa and moved to the big city of Toronto 6 years ago to see what could come of her love affair with electronic music. 

Coming fresh off her third European tour since July, including three appearances at the renowned Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), juSt b is one of Canada's most dedicated & versatile of musical curators.

A genuine story-teller at heart, she delicately blends a diverse array of styles & emotions from beautiful, edgy deep tech, down-tempo, techno, melodic & tribal house, breakbeat, deep house, and progressive.

With features for highly respected collectives such as THUMP, Berlin's Getting Deeper, Melody Lab London, Berlin's Afterhour Sounds, Melodic Deep Amsterdam, Berlin Deep Selected, and Miami's Electronic Groove, juSt b made her IglooFest debut in 2018 alongside Sasha & Digweed and has new productions & vocal work coming soon. 

She's also a published writer for multiple electronic magazines and is the new manager of the rapidly growing promo label & collective, Melodic Deep. 

Having shared decks with heavyweights like Martin Roth, John Monkman, Blancah, 16 Bit Lolitas, Roy Rosenfeld, Eli Nissan, David Hohme, Sebastien Leger, Miss Melera, Olivier Weiter, Cubicolor, Jerome Isma-ae, Parallels, Sascha Braemer, & Edu Imbernon, juSt b hosts her own monthly show Undercurrents, consistently in the Top 5 on the world renowned DI.FM.

Interlude is an Electronic Music label, focusing mainly on connecting up and coming producers from around the globe. Releasing music on a quality over quantity basis. The label is a creative outlet aimed to explore electronic music in some of its most unique forms, not so much club orientated, neither specifically ambient nor downtempo, but something of an Interlude in between, combining unique aspects with magical & emotive elements of sound, and opening the doors to welcome true creative freedom.

As calm as in these days, we haven't seen the island Ibiza before, but there are some who still make some noise, like August Artier who released last year the "Acid Sunday EP" on our label incl. the top-rated tune "Acte Physique". Here in this mix he captures a very underground sound with a unique selection of tracks in between Dub, Techno, Acid and Breaks. We love it and hope you enjoy this mindblowing set!
