Berlin-based producer JakoJako aka Sibel Kocer's debut album for Mute - after appearances on a stream of leading German labels including Tresor - is described as a distillation of ideas that she's been exploring for many years. In reality, that means working on a minimal set up, away from the computer while restricting herself to just a Eurorack and a Waldorf Iridium Core, in the search for spontaneity. She found it, for sure, as the results - recorded in Vietnam during the Tet Lunar New Year celebrations - are a feast of glistening arpeggios and lush modular textures, stripped back but full of expression and personality. 'Ghi-ta' will appeal to fans of vintage perky ambient productions the Pete Namlook/Mixmaster Morris collaboration Dreamfish, while 'Gio' has a touch of Tangerine Dream's classic widescreen sensibilities. Bold tones, bold debut.

Berlin-based producer Nicolas Bougaïeff returns with Prime Funktion, the second instalment in his Prime EP series on NovaMute, following Primal Extensions. Expanding his exploration of prime rhythms and polytemporality, Bougaïeff pushes the limits of techno with intricate rhythmic frameworks and hypnotic, high-intensity club cuts.

Visually, the artwork mirrors the EP’s rhythmic complexity, illustrating prime rhythms as layered circular structures—patterns that momentarily align, echoing the tension between freedom and synchronisation central to the Prime series.

Prime Funktion showcases Bougaïeff continuing his quest to expand the rhythmic possibilities of electronic music, drawing from his PhD in minimal techno and decades of experience in the scene. This work explores what Bougaïeff calls "temporal liberation"—where intricate rhythms both literally break the constraints of traditional techno and serve as a symbolic metaphor for broader notions of personal, social, and metaphysical freedom.

“I wrote this track in Da Nang on the day the Dragon Bridge spit fire,” Koçer says. “It was spectacular… especially as we were there in 2024, the year of the dragon. After watching, we went home, and I wrote that tune.”

'Dragon Bridge' is taken from JakoJako's upcoming album Tết 41— an exploration of heritage, identity, and rebirth, Tết 41 collects the atmospheres of Vietnam, through rich modular textures and electronic world-building.🎋🎆🇻🇳

Terence Fixmer's music has the remarkable ability to not only set feet in motion on the dance floor but also resonate deeply with the searching soul, all while maintaining a profound musical depth and integrity.
With a career spanning over two decades, he has released numerous albums and EPs on some of the most prestigious techno labels. His remixing talents have extended to tracks from industry giants like Depeche Mode, Yann Tiersen, Sven Väth, Dave Clarke, Front 242, Nitzer Ebb, Indochine, and more.
Terence Fixmer is renowned for the quality of his live performances, gracing renowned clubs and festivals worldwide.

Chapter 1: 1998-2007.
In 1998, Terence established his own label, Planete Rouge. From 1999 to 2007, he gained worldwide recognition with the release of his debut album, "Muscle Machine," under DJ Hell's legendary International Deejay Gigolos imprint. 

In 2002, Fixmer joined forces with Nitzer Ebb's lead singer, Douglas McCarthy, to form Fixmer/McCarthy. Together, they released two full-length albums that pushed the boundaries of Techno EBM to the maximum. The album "Fixmer McCarthy Between the Devil" has earned its place as a revered classic, and the band has become iconic in the Techno EBM scene.Fixmer/McCarthy earned respect in the global scene for their unique way of creating truly pioneering sound fusions by elegantly blending the aggression of Techno Body Music and the sensuality of Electronica.

Chapter 2: 2007-2015
Fixmer continued to expand the horizons of modern techno, releasing albums and EPs under his own name as well as various alter egos. His works found homes on highly respected techno labels such as Electric De Luxe, Prologue, Jealous God, CLR (including the "Depth Charged" album in 2014), Aufnahme + Wiedergabe.

Chapter 3: 2015-2020
Terence Fixmer continued to evolve his sound in 2015. His EP "Aktion Mekanik," was reissued on Ostgut Ton, marking his entry into the Ostgut Ton family—the flagship label of Berlin's Berghain club. He subsequently released various EPs on Ostgut Ton ( Force EP, Devil May Care EP)  and his album "Through the Cortex LP ." in 2017.

Chapter 4: 2020- 
 Terence produced music for Thomas Cohen (formerly singer of Scum) with tracks like "Braid" and "Chain of Love" on Mute Records.Additionally, he signed with the legendary label Mute Records, renowned for its roster of innovative and influential artists. 
In 2022, he released his first album on Mute Records titled "Shifting Signals" .
His music has been used by Fashion brand, such as Prada, Raf Simons, Zegna...
Terence Fixmer's unwavering drive to craft experimental, mind-bending, and relentless sounds continues to transcend the boundaries of the musical mainstream, solidifying his place as a visionary within the techno and electronic music landscape.

"Kuivila" is the opening track on the  new Chaos Research album "Three". 

In Isokyrö, Finland there is a place called Kuivilanvuori (Kuivila Hill) where, according to the records from 17th century witch trials, witches gathered to pay taxes to the devil who was supposed to live under that hill. Drinking, dancing and other sinful activities were also involved.

The video for this song was shot on the actual location, although the cave that has been there has been filled up at some point.

Naevus is a British experimental rock group. Formed in London in 1998 by Lloyd James (vocals, acoustic guitar) and Joanne Owen (bass, accordion), Naevus were often categorised as part of the ‘neo-folk’ genre. Their music has also drawn critical comparison with post-punk acts such as Swans and Wire, and often includes elements of industrial music.

The band released four albums between 1999 and 2004 before expanding to a four-piece with the addition of John Murphy (drums) and Greg Ferrari (electric guitar).

Their first album with the expanded line-up was 'Silent Life' in 2007, which was a critical success and included contributions from members of Urge Within, Sieben, and Current 93.

Their 6th album, 'Relatively Close To The Sea', saw them combining elements of their earlier post-punk sounds alongside more melodic material and progressive rock elements.

In 2009, Hunter Barr returned as drummer, having previously played on EP 'The Body Speaks' in 2004, and the EP 'Days that Go' followed in 2010. 

The 7th Naevus album, 'The Division of Labour', was completed by Lloyd James as a solo effort and was released in May 2012. Live shows followed with a new line-up including Ben McLees (guitar) and Arthur Shaw (bass). 

In 2013, the compilation CDs Stations and Others were released, gathering together all singles, B-sides and compilation tracks from 2001 to 2012 as well as new and previously unreleased material. During the year Sam Astley joined the band as live guitarist, with Ben McLees moving across to bass. 

The EP 'Backsaddling' was released in 2014, followed by the first Naevus live album 'Appetite And Application', recorded in Germany in October 2013. 

Naevus are currently working on new material for their 8th studio album, due for release in summer 2015.
