After dancing my heart out at Mira's 45th birthday, as I left Kater to make my way home, I took a moment to set an intention: next time I'll come here, I'm coming to play music myself. 

Little did I know that, two weeks later, I would receive a spontaneous invitation to play for the first time at the club which resonates with me the most music-wise ❤️ this gig was in December, very close to the finish line of my master's thesis. Back then, I made an agreement with myself that I would only publish the set after handing in my thesis, so I've been waiting patiently to share this one with you 😊 and doing so not only means I am now a renewable energies engineer, but also that I have much more space in my life to play music. Concluding this chapter means there's nothing inside of me holding me back from my musical path any longer! 

This set was actually challenging for me for different reasons. But precisely by letting go of any previous plan, I found that connection with the crowd and with whatever wanted to flow through me in that moment. May you enjoy these two hours of pure flow out of the 4h set I played that morning (:

Naicet sounds like „nice set“ and has caused some confusion and funny situations by the dance floor. But it is her actual name. Being half Mexican and half German the name comes from the language of the Maya, meaning „dreaming next to …“. In contrast to that, her sound isn’t quite dreamy but can rather be described as drifty, dark but melodic.

Originating from Hip Hop and RnB, Naicet discovered a fast growing passion for electronic music in her early twenties in Berlin and found her way behind the decks in 2020 beneath the Mystic Creatures event series. Her energetic sets usually combine several genres like Progressive House and Techno with an Indie Dance influence and have reached several German clubs and festivals but also international stages.

The extended podcast for BSTHP is the live recording of the set she played at the justUS invites event at Ritter Butzke on January 13th, 2024.

Marie-Eve, known as Djane Mi/Nu; is a born and raised Quebecoise that had a passion for music since her young age. Funny fact, her first job has a teen was to DJ during hockey games. What first started as a hobby, collecting and listening to music, Marie-eve soon put together her own DJ project in 2014 called Djane Oyossa. Inspired by her love for Forest-trance and the groovy sounds she heard through her travels, her intention was to make others dance to the connection she felt through this earthy music. 
Three years later, Marie-Eve found another side of herself that she wanted to express through the decks; a slower and ethnic sound that more clearly represented her state of mind. Djane Mi/Nu was born. 
Constantly inspired by different music from around the world, while all keeping a deeper undertone, Marie-Eve blends these inspirations with her loves of trance and deep house. The intention with her sets is to ensure a unique journey on the dancefloor by following a noteable progression with all her musical influences.
Mi/Nu has shared her journey in different clubs and festivals over Eastern Canada until Tel Aviv, Israel.
Her continuous travels is seen as an opportunity to share her passion around the world and get inspired by all the different sonorities encountered.
