This release showcases his ability to seamlessly weave together influences from classic techno, house, and electro, blending them with the raw energy of UK breaks, garage, and contemporary bass hybrids. Each track offers a unique sonic journey, from the shimmering textures of 'Afterglow' to the pulsating rhythms of 'Clockwork,' the high-energy drive of 'Get 'Em Up,' and the atmospheric grooves of 'Retrograde.'

Adding an extra layer of depth, the EP includes a remix of 'Clockwork' by IBAAN, reimagining the track with his personal approach to rythm and melody through the hypnotic lens.

Boom Merchant continues his busy release schedule with a hardgroove techno single featuring a remix by Homma Honganji.

Currently living in Mexico, Boom Merchant is an Irish native that has developed a unique techno style that incorporates peak time elements with gritty percussion and samples influenced by jazz, soul, and hip hop.

This release comes via Boom Merchant's record label, Tribal Pulse, but his music can also be heard on other respected outlets ranging from La La's Brand New Records to T78's Autektone. He is also a dynamic DJ whose techno sets include breakbeats and a range of moods that keep the dance floor locked in.

Homma Honganji is a Japanese artist that works regularly with Tribal Pulse alongside other imprints including Dolma Red and Rawsery.

The original mix of "The Question," layers live congas and soulful vocal bursts with fluttering melodies and a grinding bass synth. Its free-flowing percussion rhythms have a gritty and organic aesthetic, which contrasts with deep synth pads and other electronic sounds. Homma Honganji's remix is a chunked-up version with more focus on the bassline, and it uses sequenced percussion that streamlines the groove.

DJ, producer and label boss Misstress Barbara release her latest EP, ‘Don’t Tease Me’, via Carl Cox and Jon Rundell’s esteemed label, Intec Digital.

It’s been 17 years since Barbara last featured on Intec, contributing to the ‘International E.P’ back in 1999. Since then, the Canadian artist has gone on to release her music on some of Dance music’s most iconic imprints including: John Digweed’s Bedrock Records, James Holden’s Border Community, Christian Smiths’ Tronic, as well starting her own label, Iturnem.

The aptly titled ‘Are You Ready’ kicks the two-track EP, followed by our Debut Transmission, ‘Don’t Tease Me’. This deep-groover gradually builds in momentum, as sultry vocals are layered over a powerful recurring chord pattern, with further elements introduced for the climatic ending of the seven-minute masterpiece.

‘Don’t Tease Me’ is available exclusively via Beatport on 5th September and everywhere else two weeks later.
