Juanita Stein, the Howling Bells frontwoman turned solo artist, will release a brand new single, Forgiver on 13th April. (impacts 1 June). The single was co-written and produced by Brandon Flowers while Juanita was on tour with The Killers in Northern Europe this February.
Forgiver is the first taster of Stein’s upcoming second album, Until The Lights Fade, which will be released by Nude Records on 31st August.

In this episode, Shay has a conversation with Tina Strawn, an antiracism facilitator, racial and social justice advocate, and pleasure activist. Tina is also the founder of Legacy Trips, yoga trips focused on anti-racism, and the owner of the Speaking of Racism podcast. 

Tina is currently living abroad, while working on her project, “Are We Free Yet?” which is an exploration and examination of what it looks like and feels like to be free and to find home. Tina and Shay talk about the role of yoga/mediation, and how cultivating joy + focusing on healing of black people and particularly black women within their own anti-racism work, is key.  Tina and Shay also touch on how Tina found herself on a journey that led her to join a growing number of black Americans who have left the U.S.  to escape on-going racial violence, trauma, white supremacy, and racism. This is called Blaxit. Tina tells Shay her own Blaxit "feels like the Underground Railroad."
