Peregrine is this AU's interpretation of the Florist background character, and is in a "Jevil" type of role. After the freezing of Subcon so many years ago (long story short,) she wound up in the Twilight Realm. The magic and knowledge inherent to the area overwhelmed her vulnerable mind and drove her mad. Peregrine longed to escape and end her misery so badly, and to such an extent, the higher beings in the Twilight Realm eventually locked her in a more secluded section of it to prevent her from harming anyone else... herself included.

So... yeah. For the first time in a few years, a new character has been added to the AU! There are a couple more tracks related to both this new character and location in the works, but I couldn't wait and wanted to share this track in particular with y'all. :D
I did a lot of thinking in regards to certain tracks I want to have updated, but then it hit me. All this time, I've had Moonjumper as a sort of Spamton-like character. ...So *why in the actual FUCK* did I not have a Jevil-ish character to match. Obviously Peregrine's fairly different from Jevil (you can read the AU masterpost, which I have edited on AO3 to now include her section, for more specifics,) but that was my thought process. And HOLY SHIT BITTYBATTYBUNNY DID AN INCREDIBLE JOB ON PEREGRINE'S DESIGN!! They took my extensive ideas and really made them SHINE. It's part of why I really enjoy working with Bun whenever I can.
Anyhow, onto the track itself. This was a ton of fun to do! While a lot of the motifs didn't originate FOR Peregrine, the ones I chose were very specifically tied to her past in one way or another. However. You **might** have noticed that two of the motifs in particular were originally composed in *3/4 time.* Took quite a bit of trial and error to make them flow in 4/4 time the way I wanted em to, but it wound up working out in the end! Wound up taking a lot of inspiration from GSO's arrangement of TWR (https://soundcloud.com/gso-not-real/the-world-revolving-2024-arrangement) in regards to structure. Also made use of a few of my new instruments from Komplete 15 and Xpand!2.

Also this is probably gonna be the last thing I upload before I go on a small break to get my pc fixed... again. At least this time It's a planned thing so it shouldn't be too long before I'm back. And I'll be focusing a lot on covers of songs from DR chapters 3&4
... let's just hope I don't
