San Francisco is a typical harbour town.

Nestling amongst its environs are all kinds of different communities, each bringing with them their own Saturday night soundtrack. Hailing from the West Coast, PillowTalk are proud to call San Francisco home.

The three piece chop up electronic music into different shapes, manipulating classic pop, R&B, house and more into their own distinctive blend.

Sammy D, Ryan Williams and Mikey Tello recently completed work on their new album, with 'Je Ne Sais Quoi' finding the trio moving beyond their influences.

Currently on tour, PillowTalk are set to play London's 338 Studios on April 20th. A huge Easter weekend show, it's part of a wider tour (in a double decker bus, no less) which has taken the group across Europe.

To coincide with their capitol visit, PillowTalk have prepared a special mix for Clash readers. Opening with Ella Fitzgerald, it's a diverse selection which touches on French electro before settling into some chopped up dancefloor shapes.

During this year's ADE, Ace & Tate Sounds broadcasted live on Red Light Radio with a dreamy line-up, and we've got the mixtapes to prove it. First up, Carista – the up and coming artist hailing from Utrecht, where nightlife is on the rise, with new exciting initiatives popping up like the club WAS.  In this recording, Carista shows us that she knows a whole lot about the origin of House music, switching effortlessly from one classic to another and serving us an incredible selection of warm, soulful tracks. Don't worry, this mix is SFW (safe for work) and will actually help you get you through the day.

Christophe​ Salin​ is a music enthusiast - a producer, music collector, DJ and equipment lover based in Lübeck/Germany. Together with his wife, Daria Salin, he runs Salin Records​, as a platform for art and electronic music.

Christophe is a house music lover all through. Jazz and disco have a deep influence on his work.
Having his teens in the early 2000s he is also touched by the hypnotic-loop-orientated music from back in those days.

“You need to know the roots to know where to go” - Christophe took his time to know the roots of music and music production. He took this knowledge, mixed it up with his stories and emotions and created his versatile music styles. In 2018​ he released a three EP series​ (​“Sweet Memories EP”​, “Here And Now EP”​, “Will You Be There EP”) ​on Salin Records. This way he established the label and paved the way for future Salin Records artists. Christophe's tracks and mixes have the claim to take you on a journey and to get lost in the moment. As his tracks and mixes are honestly and from the bottom of his heart he is able to take you there. Christophe can’t imagine living without music and there are a lot of projects and ideas he’s working on as an artist and as a label head. Stay tuned!
