Before the new Dawn is a suffering story of people who struggle to survive in these day’s digital world.

Composer since my youngest age ... I'm interested in all the music from the moment they transport me and give me emotions ... I play a dozen instruments and compositions, here, are played on the keyboard or with the real instrument because I'm not a programer except for a paid work...
I am above all a melodist ... I work very little texts is another job that also takes time!
There is no finished product here, these are only tests or covers for fun. I think I said everything to introduce myself, so good listening ... and it's nice to have read so far !

Since 2007 NASP is a OMA (OneManArmy) a solo project entirely made by me Alexandre Santos born and raised @ Porto in Portugal.

"It's just a hobby!"

I bought my first guitar about 10 years ago, I was 56 years old. I had wanted to learn long ago and decided with my early retirement, now was a good time! I had no musical experience but with the help of many YouTube videos (mostly JustinGuitar.com), I started to learn. Along the way, I wrote my first original song and started videoing and recording my music, both originals (@lenaloise) and covers (@lenaloisecovers). My first song was posted about 5 years after that first guitar!

My music "hobby" has really grown since I started! Many guitars, pedals, gadgets, equipment! But it's a hobby! I work hard for every note and learning this instrument at an older age is different from starting in your teens! My page is a mix of things that I enjoy in my "hobby"! I record "almost live" with minimal takes and editing. I strive for fun, not perfection, and I learn as I need to for that enjoyment!

Hello everyone. I'm glad you're interested in my music. I'm a guitarist. I used to be in a band, but that ended in failure, and now I write songs and play guitar for my own pleasure. The songs are born in my little room. After years of not playing guitar since I stopped playing in a band, I am now able to play here again and feel the joy of playing guitar and touching music again. That's why it's so wonderful for me to interact with the inhabitants of this Soundcloud. By the way, I'm very talkative, so I'm always looking for pen pals. My first multi-tracker recorder was a Fostex 4-track purchased with a friend at age 17.  We took turns bringing it home and recording onto cassette tape and often collaborated.  I still have a few of those early recordings. 

Our band, 'Darius' was a big part of my life in the late 80's to early 90's.  We were one of those bands playing the local circuit, 40 song nights at various clubs, with a quarter of those being original tunes.  I loved the stage, the camaraderie of the band and the feeling of performing songs that I was part of creating. My favorite part was the audience reciprocation which only drove me to give more of myself to the craft, always hoping to deliver something special that they could appreciate.  

I released my first single "Somewhere Between Mercury and Mars" in 2013 which you can play here on SoundCloud. My entry landed in the top 50 of most played tunes in the 2013 Guitar Center Songwriting Contest III.  There were over 10,000 submissions to the contest too!  My video entry for the making of the song scored first place, an incredible honor for sure.

I hope you like what you hear and share it along.  We are bombarded with music these days as it seems everyone has access to recording software.  In that respect I'm humbled that you take the time to listen!
