What’s 2 m tall, lives Behind the Iron Curtain, has 1605 reasons to run an awesome label, and flies? Meet UMEK, a techno legend from Slovenia.

UMEK is personally responsible for kickstarting the electronic music scene in his home country by first organizing illegal raves and then becoming one of Slovenia’s most wanted export products and the number one music ambassador to the whole world.

And he does fly! Around 100 times per year, visiting almost every continent each year. His gig diary ranges from dark underground clubs in Berlin to massive techno stages at the world’s most renowned festivals. 

Apart from making his name in the DJ booth, he’s also a tireless producer. He mostly releases on his own imprint 1605, and most of his tracks end up on the very top of Beatport’s charts. After more than 25 years as a professional musician, he decided to use his experience and skills in the entrepreneurial world. Together with his managers, he founded a music-tech startup Viberate (www.viberate.com), where they are building the world’s greatest music platform.

Anetha is a French artist, DJ, producer, label manager, talent agency co-founder and a trained architect.

Transmitting the glossy textures of techno, trance and experimental music, Anetha whips up bouncy basslines, stomping kickdrums, glorious melodies and a sprinkling of melancholic motifs, sharing her sound in seminal clubs and legendary festivals worldwide. From the industrial setting of Berghain, the sleek surroundings of Hï Ibiza, the dome of Gashouder and the open-air haze of Stone Techno, Anetha has garnered a loyal audience across the Americas, Europe, Australasia and beyond. Delivering lush and luminous productions and DJ sets, the Bordeaux-based artist works with attention to detail, creative construction, and nimble mixing — as one would expect from an artist with an architectural background.

2024 marks the release of Anetha's long-awaited album on Mama told ya. The ten-track LP honours her ephemeral taste in electronic music, welding a palette of post-club, techno, trance, experimental, nu-wave, rave, and DnB, and features Anetha's own voice, literally and figuratively. The album tells the story of Anetha's trajectory so far and explores ecological awareness, femininity, toxic masculinity and unwarranted opinions in the music industry. In true Anetha style, she conveys these themes with playfulness and a touch of irony across the album.

Several releases colour Anetha's discography, from her debut EP 'Ophiuchus' on Berlin-based label Work Them in 2015 and a myriad of EPs, singles and remixes on imprints like Anagram and OAKS and her own label, Mama told ya.

Launched in 2019 and co-founded by Anetha and her skilled, close-knit team of friends and family, Mama told ya platforms rising stars and encourages them to express themselves through music, no matter the stage of their journey. Limited edition and earth-friendly merch, including clothing and fragrance, extends the realm of Mama told ya alongside label showcases.

And then, there's Fané.e. It's a new label from Anetha and the MTY family. Every release follows a seasonal schedule, where tracks will be available to download and stream for a finite period until blossoming once more the following season. The label aims to share high-quality, genre-fluid productions without the restrictions of a vinyl-led imprint and to cultivate a more environmentally friendly way to consume music. 

In 2020, Anetha launched the talent agency Mama loves ya to nurture emerging artists worldwide. When it comes to sustainability, the agency walks the walk. Mama loves ya works with the carbon management project Greenly, helping offset, reduce and compensate for its carbon footprint and decrease CO2 emissions. Actions include implementing eco-riders and operating an open calendar on the MLY website, showing promoters where and when each artist is due to play, thus reducing travel distance between bookings.

Born in Bordeaux to nu-wave and electroclash-inclined parents, Anetha moved to London and then Paris, where she studied and graduated in architecture. There, she co-founded the label and party series Blocaus in 2012, honing her skill as a DJ and shaping her profile on the Parisian scene for the guts of ten years.

Now, Anetha has evolved into a fully established and globally recognised artist, blurring the lines between art, music and fashion through her artistry and relationships with fashion designers Marine Serre and Rombaut. If anyone can balance the tasks of touring, producing, and co-managing two record labels and a talent agency with poise, it's Anetha.

Maxime Iko is a parisian and self made DJ and producer. Born in 1982, he was at first a passionate clubber, fascinated by music, hanging out in Paris clubs like Rex Club or Le Pulp. Passion for music soon became voracious and took over the rest. In 2008 he started mixing at the famous Paris club „Les Bains Douches“ with Dj Wild. Then producing in 2011 when he joined Steve Lawler’s label Viva Music with his first release „Voiture Pullman“. His music is influenced by his interest in cinematography, in gothic and gay culture. Pitched down vocals, atmospheric Synths, slapping claps & funked up basslines. Whatʼs most important to him in music is groove & sensuality. Maxime Iko initiated in 2011 the gay party „Cockorico“ at Rex Club, Paris with Stefan Beutter mixing techno and sexy people. In 2014, they created „Le Bal Con“ mixing all kinds of crowds dancing like crazy to the sound of electronic music and enjoying outrageous art performances happening on stage or through the audience. Maxime played with DJs like Ellen Allien, Miss Kittin, Vitalic, Oliver Huntemann, Gui Borrato, Marc Houle, Efdemin, John Talabot, Todd Terje, Marc Houle, Heartthrob, Troy Pierce… In 2012 Maxime started a new experience designing the sound dressing of Steffi Christiane’s fashion show in Paris. In 2015 he started a collaboration with french producer Markus Gibb (Lumber Noire) creating 3 EPs under the name IKO&GIBB on the label Tici Taci. He’s now joining Bpitch for an upcoming EP.

Un peu comme tout le monde, Billie Brelok vient de Nanterre. C’est par là bas qu’elle a été contaminée.

Le rap elle a apprit ça comme le reste, sur le tard, comme on apprend à boire du bout des lèvres, avant de finir dans la bouteille. Billie savait déjà écrire avant, qu’est-ce que tu crois ?

Mais un jour peut-être, elle aussi elle saura lire.

Au coin de nul part, elle est tombée sur une meute, la FATSK, une équipe discrètement terroriste de l’ouest parisien qui lui a refilé cette saloperie : un sens très appliqué de l’anticonforme et de la couleur.

De feux de camps urbains en biture bucolique, elle décide d’enclencher les hostilités et de se la raconter sévère. De se la raconter cette histoire que personne n’écrira à sa place. Une histoire de plus.

Ses textes, c’est un harakiri permanent qui n’a pas le temps de cicatriser. Un magma givré et langoureux qui caresse la hanche du Vésuve avant de se planter dans le sol comme un couteau rouillé.

Profondément infidèle, ses collaborations sont multiples. Billie gratte, pose et expose ses premiers textes au « hip hop freestyle » animé par M.A.S.S. de la maison Daniel Féry, puis se voit proposer la première partie d’un concert dans la même salle un an après.

C’est alors un succès tonitruant, une tuerie de feu qui assied dès lors le début d’une grande suite. La scène est un espace-temps de liberté qu’elle saisit à la volée. Elle fait ça pour le sport, sans autorisations ni compromis, c’est le pari, on verra bien jusqu’où.

Billie rap parce qu’elle n’arrive pas à dormir. Parce que si elle se tait, elle va vomir. « T’attaches pas trop bro, Billie Breklo, je la bute ou j’veux, quand j’veux et avec mes règles du jeu »

Daniel Portman was born and raised in the suburbs of Zurich, Switzerland. He fell in love with electronic music at a very young age: It was the late 90s, with all its ups and downs, when young Daniel started to test his musical abilities on an Akai2000 sampler and an old sequencer.

Mid 2000s his first EP “Backside / Evolution” was released on Unreleased Digital. Followed by the EP “I never sleep”. Tracks came up on labels such as Harem Records, Big & Dirty, Armada, AnjunaDeep or on PinkStar Records next to releases on his homebase label Unreleased Digital.
He’s also known for successful collab productions with Jerome Isma-Ae and Stanley Ross.

Rapidly he gained a big base of fans from all corners of the world, and his agenda got fully booked with DJ gigs on all continents. He made quite a heavy assault on the DJ scene performing on events in front of more than 10’000 people.

Over the years Daniel designed a forward thinking and unique style of house music, which can be described as a mixture of progressive house and techno. But also with an ability to infuse cutting edge machine music with soulful grooves. Therefore his productions regularly fill the top positions of Beatport’s Top 100 chart and are fast becoming staples for DJs everywhere.
