"Darkness Falls on Granite City" is a slow-breathing urban lament, capturing atmosphere and shadow. Jeremias Langsämmer cinematic soundtrack crafts a sonic landscape with brooding strings, and soft, layered tones reflecting the damp streets and clouded shy. The cello weaves in and out, its melancholic phrases adding a sense of weight to the scene, while sparse, echoing piano notes occasionally punctuate the darkness.
