Nate Beier is a composer, writer and musician. On May 22nd, 2011 he was granted the MFA in Creative Inquiry, Interdisciplinary Arts from The California Institute of Integral Studies (San Francisco, CA).
Presently, Nate continues the work begun during his MFA at CIIS. This work culminated in the recording of a self-titled vinyl album featuring 13 pieces for solo piano. This work received its debut performance Friday April 29th, 2011 at SOMArtsTheater in San Francisco. Nate is very glad to have shared the evening with performances by Theatre Artist Teri Stockton and Dancer/Choreographer Angela Moran.

Jean Philippe Ichard is a French composer for films, commercials and TV programmes.

He was born in La Teste, a place situated on the edges of bassin d'Arcachon, where he started learning the french horn and th e piano at the age of 7. Then, he increased his knowledge of jazz, music writing and composition at CIAM (a music school in Bordeaux) and at the Bordeaux Conservatory. As great movie fan, he wanted to composes for cinema since then.

In 2005, he entered, unanimously, the Lyons Conservatory (Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Lyon) in music writing class where he completed his musical studies.
Jean-Philippe Ichard has composed many original pieces of music.
Il composes short films soundtracks, such as Kitchen by Steve Duchesne, Métro Sexuel by Quentin de Palésieux, or Si ton Ami by Antoine Pinson.
He has also composed many commercial soundtracks for bans such as AXA, Jean-Claude Biguine, Senoble, Wonderbox, Groupe Solaire de France, Grand Litier, Bourse direct.
He has worked for the music of fictional programmes on TV such as Le jour où tout à basculé produced by Julien Courbet pour France 2, 4 jeunes 1 voiture by Abel Ferry for M6, Trop Potes produced by Carson.
He composed for other TV programmes as Tous ensemble on TF1, Les français à table on FR2.
At the same time, he also writes for concert works and stage music.
He composes for symphony orchestras (Flynt Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre Ecoly, Jeunes Talents Lyonnais,...), string orchestras (Orchestre de la Garde Républicaine), chamber music (Trio,Duo, Melodies, piano pieces... « D'une heure à l'autre » pour Six percussionnistes). Most of this works has been published by Robert Martin Editions.

Following the 2012 release of their self titled debut and ‘Scarlett Belle EP’ of last year, Cat Meat return with their most ambitious offering to date; ‘Eldritch City Dwellers.’

This is a record concocted in the dark urban sprawl of the capital; the songs themselves penned in dank corners of South London boozers, in dilapidated train stations and night buses carrying the blitzed and weary.

Musically, the band has clearly developed from its alt country roots. Whilst the songwriting craftsmanship of Gene Clark, Emmylou Harris and Waylon Jennings is evident, so too are artists as diverse as Robbie Basho, Chet Baker, Warren Ellis and The Velvet Underground. 

There’s a lyrical fragility to each of these songs too, the crumbling frailty of Vic Chesnutt creeping into the crevices, the creaking wheeze of Tom Waits steering deeply personal tales of love and friendship.

Having played a number of successful London shows the band has received plaudits from some of their own favourite artists, most notably Califone’s Tim Rutili and PJ Harvey collaborator John Parish.

Expect to see Cat Meat lugging their haul to a town near you very soon.
