My part in the wonderful project by the peeps over at @0ssembli. I scrapped so many versions of this I couldn't even tell you but I'm so glad that where I would've dropped out on my own, both the scale and the community of this project led me to hang on and deliver more than I ever would've (enough so that I'm ok publishing something for the first time ever :D). A selection of loops I created in the early/mid-2000s.
The main influence was Akufen’s microsampling (without the house beats), mixed with a hip-hop influence. I didn’t really know how these music ware made back then…and I failed at replicating those sounds, so the result ended up becoming this weird crossover instead.

Originally, this was an attempt to mimic the Splatoon 3 OST style, and the lead had a fast-moving filter LFO. I revisited it after conceptualizing this EP and turned it into its own thing, as I realized it would work great as an intro track. Here, I picture cheering, rowdy crowds and a camera panning across a starting line with cars beginning to line up for the race.
