"I started off playing with Form by loading it up with samples of acoustic instruments that I’ve recorded over the years. I automated the speed parameter which turned these acoustic looping sounds into drone-like pads. Triggering a few notes at once produced really interesting, complex, acoustic-hybrid type sounds, and the “speed” parameter allowed me to morph in-between two different states. Every sound in my sketch was transformed from some acoustic source using Form, like clarinet, harps, a music box… Even the thick bass sound came from the recording of a dulcimer harmonic.
