I am excited to have the multi-talented musician, composer, and educator Isaiah Collier as a guest on the show "Swimming." I am a fan of his work and appreciate the tributes to his musical lineage in his records. Vaporwave is according to Discogs, a genre that emerged in the early 2010s characterized by a nostalgic fascination with retro cultural aesthetics, commercial fragments, and technology, as well as a critical or parodic preoccupation with consumer capitalism, popular culture, '80s yuppie culture, and new-age tropes.

Musically, it is often characterized by its heavy use of samples from late '70s, '80s, '90s and early 2000s popular music as well as lounge, smooth jazz or elevator music.

Finding the perfect selector to introduce this dreamy genre took us a few months, but we luckily came across with neelie. She's by the way the host of Oh Mochi and member of Zweite Reihe.

We are pleased to share with you "Naive Melodies" the second release on Natural Selections, this time from our old friend and most trusted collaborator Deep Nalström ( @phil_nalstrom aka Guillaume de Ubéda, the man behind Atelier Superplus). This LP is a seven track journey through Deep Nalström's most profound meanders, a mystical ode to Nature inviting the listeners to explore their inner-self and reconnect with the cosmic energies.
It will be out in May 2019 through Rubadub Distribution.
