Earlier this year Desert Dwellers released their most diverse album in the duo's long career. The Great Mystery was the first full length collaborative project just between the main founders Amani Friend and Treavor Moontribe, and featured a wide range of styles and aesthetics from downtempo and psychedelic dub to tribal trance to exotic house and techno flavors.

To celebrate the special release, Desert Dwellers have curated an ambitious two-part remix album with a total of 25 contributions from some of the brightest luminaries and rising talents across the underground electronic music landscape. The Great Mystery Remixes Part 2 is slated for a November 1st release on the DD Bandcamp page, and features sonic reinterpretations from Emancipator, Aligning Minds, Mumukshu, Sixis, David Starfire, Whitebear, Erothyme, Mystral, Master Minded, Halfred & Enzalla, Lulacruza, Bumble, Soohan, and Supersyllius. With artists from across the globe and musical genres, these carefully crafting renditions of Desert Dwellers' The Great Mystery are a potent combination of immersive soundscapes that pay a loving tribute to the original compositions.

On November 3rd Desert Trax presents Ayahuasca Remixed from Brazilian-born artist Poranguí Carvalho McGrew, translated and remixed through the lenses of visionary producers like Shamans Dream,AtYyA, Drumspyder, Kaminanda,Liquid Bloom, Numatik, Yaima, and many others. These 11 tracks were born from a prayer to bridge worlds from the consciousness of the master plant medicine onto the dance floor. It came to life through the meeting and friendship with musician and producer Sahuna Love (Shaman's Dream), and blossomed with the help of Amani Friend (Desert Dwellers & Desert Trax). Each song weaves the medicine of the original, while beckoning listeners to explore and express their prayers or meditations through embodied movement. I've loved it for many years, especially on long car rides through the woods...the beginning has such a beautiful dark mystery to it, balanced by the major-key tone of the second half.  The driving rhythm of the cello reminds me of running water and sounds so good with a nice downtempo beat."

We're glad to share with you a revolutionary collab between 2 unique and leading musicians in the live electronic scene. The connection between @nadavdagon and @jpattersson was instant and precise.
The virtuoso trumpet, the fragrances of the dub and Johann's Balkan twist together with the addictive, tribal & ceremonial rhythm of Nadav, gave birth to 'The landing'. In different times this creation would be played on every downtempo gathering on the globe. This splendid collab contains a deep and profound beat, mind-blowing melodies, and lots of joy. This sound got picked up by the dutch vagabond @krautmusica and the south africa based producer @leeu88 put in two various thrilling and powerful remixes. This global collaboration between 4 different continents.
