Here's the recording of my recent gig at Paloma in Berlin. I played the opening for one of my all-time favourite producers: mighty Ian Pooley. A deep-house fueled warmup set with loads of classic tunes and recent and unreleased gems.

The Semi Delicious label head, DJ & producer Demi Riquísimo takes us on an extended journey, pushing the energy just shy of 3 hours. 
Travelling through disco, tech club sounds, power house, acid and more it shows the skills and musical knowledge that has seen Demi play sets at some of London's most esteemed club nights and beyond including all over the EU and Australia to name a few. We had a brief chat with Demi about the mix and what he has coming up on his labels Semi Delicious and A Lifetime On The Hips.

XRDS REC 003 w/ Cinthie 

The REC series compiles outstanding performances captured at XRDS festival 2023, spotlighting artists who epitomize our affinity for electronic music. Our second recording features Cinthie, recorded live from The Outskirts on 20.08.23.

Cinthie Christl, the Berlin-based luminary, producer, DJ, owner of a renowned record store, and the driving force behind 803 Crystal Grooves. She has clocked over 25 years in the dance music industry, and ascended to become one of the most esteemed and revered figures in the electronic music scene, both within her hometown and on the global stage.

Digging into the root ethos of deep house—churchy piano runs, spiritual vocal hooks and jacking drums—got her started mixing as a teenager in the '90s. Cinthie's depth of knowledge radiantly shines through in her sets and her productions, which traverse through a broad range of classic and contemporary House and Techno sounds and that's exactly what she did on XRDS last summer. 

In essence, it must be acknowledged that Cinthie is pure dancefloor brilliance from start to finish, her diggings and her releases making perfect bedfellows.

Tribute to my Grandpa

Detroit might be synonymous with techno, but it also has a rich house tradition. And Rick Wade—FKA Big Daddy Rick—is one of Detroit house's key players. Along with the likes of Keith Worthy, Theo Parrish and the late Mike Huckaby (who Wade had a lifelong friendship and friendly rivalry with), he created a hybrid sound that is both techno and house, effortlessly soulful, sculpted and glowing—and Midwest to the core. As Tajh Morris said in a retrospective review of one of his classic records, "growing up in Buchanan, Michigan, meant that Wade was much closer to Chicago than he was to Detroit."

Many of Wade's best records were released on Harmonie Park, his era-defining label that also featured plenty of work from Huckaby. Those EPs still sound fresh and timeless today, qualities that extend to Wade's RA Podcast, which features 90 minutes of smooth-as-butter house old and new. Over the years he's kept the flame burning for the smouldering sounds of Detroit house, working in sounds from younger producers like Folamour along the way. Enjoy listening to a master at work.

> Bio: Berlin-based Nat Wendell, a seasoned DJ and producer with a profound connection to his core sound, is one of house music’s true exponents. 

Uniquely his, Nat has left an indelible mark on a world of electronic music so often bereft of the essence of groove—the same groove that now regularly sparks the dynamic atmosphere of venues like Berghain/Panorama Bar and Heideglühen in Berlin. His mission, since 1998, has been the same: to captivate audiences with his unmistakable sense of swing. 

His musical upbringing in the melting pot of cultures that is London has been the catalyst for his sonic identity, and his very first record purchase, "Snap - The Power," proved to be a powerful harbinger of things to come.  Immersed in the diverse Caribbean culture, with its roots in gospel, dancehall and soul, he developed a keen appreciation for the rhythmic intricacies of records. Nat Wendell continues to evolve into a maestro of sound, crafting a unique sonic journey that is deep, soulful, and undeniably groovy. That his music is now taking him worldwide, from the celebrated Fusion Festival to the hallowed floors of his very own inspiration, New York City, is a testament to the fact that his sense of swing has, and will, withstand the test of time.
