Silence 

The city shines apocalyptic tonight 
An avalanche of grief in a sea of blue lights 
Turning the other cheek, falling into their graves 
Rising like Lazarus to do it again 

A crowd of youths are getting ready to “meet”
There’s an air of violence running down every side street 
Put down your guns 
Thrown down your arms 
No one’s brave enough to sound the alarm 

The deafening silence 
This silence is deep
Been silent for so long we’ve forgotten to speak 
Words like silent raindrops fall 
The silence is deep but the anger is shallow 

The toothless vampire’s getting ready to bite 
Fuck me man you know what’s wrong and what’s right 
For every Abel there’s another Cain 
Every vow of silence is another bloodstain
