Naviarhaiku#352 /the surface of the water

Trying to emulate dual calm and turbulence of slowly flowing creek and surface ripples made by gently falling raindrops.   I took a recording of local creek flowing in early spring here- used slowed down version of this to create new sound parts in Metasynth with visual image synth manipulation and resynthesis with instrument sounds and microtonal sine waves.

OneAmbient4 - The Surface Of The Water (Naviarhaiku 352)

Continuing my use of a minimal setup, this is composed on a limited modular and performed on the synth and mixer in one take. This started with my thinking of a rain like sound which I didn't quite get where I wanted so I sidelined. It was replaced by several synth parts to add various textures and rhythms, and a sort of broken melody. I'm not sure the whole quite hangs together but I enjoy the elements.
