To participate in the Haiku Music challenge::

- Make a song in response to the weekly assigned poem (a new poem is published every Wednesday)
- When choosing a title for your piece also include the assignment number, for example “Title of your track (naviarhaiku382)”

To submit your track:

- If you’re a Soundcloud user, upload it on Soundcloud and send me the URL via private message, or tag me in the track.
- If you upload your music on Youtube, Bandcamp or anywhere else, upload your submission and then send me the link by email at marco@naviarrecords.com or contact me on X, Facebook or Instagram
- If you don’t use any music platform, upload it to this Dropbox folder and I’ll include it in the weekly playlist. If you choose this option, make sure you include your name in the track’s title. www.dropbox.com/request/JvKyUfuCSzJ3gRNRocZz

In a change from my usual live method this track was very much assembled. That said each synth element was improvised in conjunction with and added to the existing material as the track evolved. 

I started by taking a long ambient drone (Borrowed from another project), generated with Points And Lines* and processed it through the Free Ghost  Radio VST plugin from Quilcom to produce the short wave radio like sounds, details here: (it's near the end of the list): https://flowstoners.com/quilcom

Then in conjunction with that I assembled the field recordings that open the track. A bit of a mish-mash,

With the opening set I then recorded the rhythmic pulses and sequences using a small virtual modular VCV Rack patch that I'd prepared earlier. With that done I went back and added the synth surf, separate VCV patch, synth wind, Bento* and random chirps and synth whales to swim in the synthetic sea, Creature From Then ID.*
