The NDYD Radioshow ( @ndyd-rs ) has been founded and is presented by San Francisco's Ricardo Torres, who has been a part of NDYD since the early days. 
His eagerness and motivation has had him doing the show over 2 years now (count in 2016) and he got some amazing guests in. 
Amongst those are Dr. Packer (AUS), Shit Hot Soundsytem (UK), Chuggin Edits (UK), Kris Santiago (GER), Dave Allison (CAN), Alex Hook (RUS), Get Down Edits (IRE), Dino Soccio (USA) and many more.

Today’s guest mix is from a duo of producers Daniel Leseman & Hans Peeman (Junktion) that have recently joined forces under the moniker Fouk. Responsible for some of our favourite productions over the past year these guys and their new label Outplay are certainly on form. It’s always a bit of an experiment when two producers join forces and very often it doesn’t quite work, however their styles, bolstered by their friendship, have joined seamlessly (or so it appears).

Their mix for us today is full of funk, samples, groove and good records, just what we’re after. A particular highlight is the new Hauke Freer track and one from ‘Somethin Gunny’ we’d never heard before.

Not only was he behind some of the greatest House Music hits of the early to late 2000s on such labels as Defected, Naked Music, OM, Moulton Studios, and Shifted Music to name a few but he was also nominated for a Grammy for a Jill Scott remix he did.

I did not have time to record a new show this week so instead I am posting a live set I did this summer for a private event for a company called SACO in New York City. The audience was very diverse so I kept the music light and mid-tempo with a lot of edits that they would recognize. Apologies for the roughness in the first few mixes but I had monitor issues. Once they fixed it it went smooth as butter :) Hey, it's live.

Ricardo Torres, a West Coast DJ, is known for blending deep, soulful house and disco with a smooth, sultry West Coast vibe. His music is crafted for true dance music enthusiasts, delivering uplifting, groovy, and sexy experiences rooted in the underground scene.

Ricardo’s DJ journey began in 1987 at a college radio station in Montreal, Canada, where he initially spun industrial electronic music. By 1988, he was introduced to Chicago House and was captivated by its fresh energy, changing his musical direction. In 1995, he moved to Los Angeles, where the city’s sun-drenched, soulful vibe and influences from DJs like Jay-J, Marques Wyatt, Julius Papp, Mark Farina, and Miguel Migs drew him toward the deeper West Coast sound.

In 2000, Ricardo pioneered sharing his mixes online, a bold and innovative step that garnered him international recognition. This exposure led to global performances and opportunities, while he also became a syndicated radio host on satellite and online platforms.

Around 2016 Ricardo partnered with Germany’s Nu Disco Your Disco (NDYD), a leading advocate for the Nu Disco genre. Their collaboration birthed the NDYD Radio Show, which Ricardo hosts weekly, showcasing top global talent and steadily growing a loyal listener base. For Ricardo, Nu Disco offers a modern bridge for the soulful West Coast vibe to resonate with newer generations.

While underground music trends have evolved over the decades, Ricardo’s passion remains unwavering: playing music that inspires people to get up, dance, and celebrate the timeless groove of house music.
