Welcome to EP-93 of the NDYD Radio Show. This set was recorded live in Los Angeles on June 11th, 2016 at The Lincoln Speakeasy on the West Side.  This is my second recording on the radio show from this upscale underground and I went DEEP. Not only because I was opening before the DEEP master, Marques Wyatt but also because this set was a late night set that started at 1am. A little different than what I usually play but this was appropriate for the crowd that had come to see us. I hope you enjoy it with open ears :)

I recorded this 25th podcast live at a real intimate Deep & Sexy party last Sunday. In a wonderful setting with a beautiful pool, palm trees and amazing people ? The last months has brought me several highlights. Playing for the first time in San Francisco, my very own Deep & Sexy pool party with genius Sax player Justin Ward. Playing on a yacht and a castle in Cambridge, enjoying another yacht at the Film Festival in Cannes, France. Playing Dusk in NYC, in the deep jungle of Nicaragua, also another beautiful gig at sir Richard Branson’s Necker island again. At the beach of the Dominican Republic, Cabarete and so many other beautiful places. 
On my way to Ibiza in a second for another beautiful encounter! And in 2 weeks I will be playing several events at The Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. One of them will be in the Olympic Village, so I am so excited for that! Creating some deep house tracks with existing Brazilian vocals on it right now to make sure I am ready for the Brazilian people! For now: enjoy my new podcast and hope to bring some sunshine and happiness in your life with it! Hopefully till soon somewhere on this planet!

Good morning!! Please find here my Deep & Sexy Podcast #26! This is my Rio 2016 edition. 
I played 5 events in Rio de Janeiro during the Olympics and this podcast is a selection of the finest tracks which I played there. It was such a privilege to be able to play, on my day of arrival, for about 3000 people at a beautiful castle. Rushing in to get in time I finally arrived a few minutes after midnight, I was supposed to start at midnight. So coming there, the promoter said, well…..maybe wait for a little longer cause then the place is totally filled up since I was there headliner. After a few times:’aaaah, wait a little longer’, I started my set at 01:30. But….it was worth the wait. What a crowd and what a joy and excitement on the floor! My friend from New York, Kung Pow Meow also arrived so he was able to shoot some crazy footage of it, check my Facebook page for the video of that event. Furthermore I played for the United Nations/Unicef for their official ’Refugee House’. I played at the official Dutch ‘Heineken House’, the Olympic Village and at a private mansion.
Apart from that I am a huge sports fanatic, love doing sports myself, so I had a wonderful time in Rio de Janeiro. I hope you enjoy it, it has some more intensive energetic tracks to it than you’re used to hear. So let me know your thoughts! Till soon! This is quite overdue as I've been busy in the studio, so here's the fourth installment of the You Should Be Here series. Barcelona is easily one of my favourite cities. It's a beautiful place that's really two cities – Barcelona by day, and Barcelona at night. It's a very sexy and laid back city but has a pulsing nightlife and passion for life and house music. Welcome to EP-145 of the NDYD Radio Show. This week we have a special guest mix from NDYD's friend Jørn Sørheim (@jornsorheim).

Jørn started djing in -97 and got his fist residency as a 19 year old in -99 in central Stockholm, Sweden. His main venues included places like Soap Bar, Calle P and No.18. Since then Jørn has been djing at all the major venues in Stockholm.

He is mainly influenced by legendary artists like Depeche Mode, U2, Stevie Wonder and Prince as well as a variety of modern indie artists.
Through a balanced technique where consideration for both environment and artistry and modern creativity is accounted for – Sørheim joins the old and the new in a modern cocktail of styles – handmade for the venue. In the bar – this is often represented by modern r’n’b, indie/nu-disco and deep house classics. On the dancefloor – by a more electronic clubsound.

As a DJ Jørn represents creativity through classic sounds. A creativeness primarily made through a pair of classic vinyl turntables rather than the latest in dj tech.

Welcome to EP150 of the NDYD Radio Show. A milestone episode indeed. First, 150 freakin' EPISODES!! That is a lot of hours of music. It certainly has been a labor of love doing this for a 150 weeks but I do enjoy it. I can't take all the credit tho, we've had some amazing guests who have kept the show going when I couldn't and that is certainly something that has brought up the quality and variety of the program.

Secondly, this episode has pushed us over the 1 MILLION plays in total for all episodes. WOW! I never imagined that we would hit that milestone in a relatively short amount of time after what happened with the last account and the great SoundCloud purge of 2015. There is only one group of people to thank for that. YOU!! Thank you for the continuing support by listening to the show every week, sharing it, replaying it, and been understanding when we skip a week or two.

What is special about this episode? As the title says it's mainly Disco Edits and Yacht Rock which as you know by now is my favorite style to play. We hear edits an bootlegs all the time but I decided instead, in this special 2 hour episode, to play some of MY favorite that are not your everyday cookie cutter edit. Welcome to very special episode of the NDYD Radio Show by non other than Dr Packer (@dr-packer)

The official bio: Dr Packer is an alias for a well known drum & bass producer from Australia set up for all things 'Non' drum & bass related (remixes , bootlegs , reworks & re-edits) of mainly retro styles of music such as 'Disco , Funk , Soul & Reggae.

My version of his bio: Dr Packer is wayyyy more than that. He is an inspiration for all of us who love and play edits (especially the housey disco kind). If you've been living under a rock for the last two years than you probably did not know that Dr Packer has blown up in a nuclear way into the scene. Besides his killers edits, his nuanced reworking skills have been called upon by the likes of Defected, Joey Negro's Z Records and lauded by DJs as diverse as Glenn Underground, Tony Humphries, Moodymanc, CJ Mackintosh, ATFC, Julius Papp and Kiko Navarro to name but a few. He has been touring all over Europe and has landed headlining gigs in Ibiza for Glitterbox.

This is the Dr's second appearance on the NDYD Radio Show and we are honored that he took the time to do a second exclusive mix for us even if he is busier than ever. He is a scholar and gentlemen no doubt.

Welcome to EP-153 of the NDYD Radio Show with our first guest mix of the year by non other than Germany's Phonk D.

In the early 90s electronic music grabbed hold of Phonk D. After many nights at clubs in Frankfurt, hundreds of kilograms of collected vinyls, countless DJ-gigs and a remarkable journey into Hip Hop as a producer, the Darmstadt resident founded his label Footjob in 2014. The Footjob sound is somewhere between deep, disco and classic house and finds the approval of well-known scene-heads. 

His second EP released in June 2016 included his most outstanding track up to this day called ‘Midnight Bumper’. The stomping house-banger clinged to the Top 5 Traxsource charts for several weeks and furthermore, Phonk D has been named to the Top 100 House Artists of the Year 2016 by Traxsource.

He debuts on NDYD Records in 2018 with his latest baby,the ‘Disco Goodies’ EP which contains four stellar tracks, each one with a unique twist and made within the last three years. Like wine these creations got better with time.

Ricardo Torres, a West Coast DJ, is known for blending deep, soulful house and disco with a smooth, sultry West Coast vibe. His music is crafted for true dance music enthusiasts, delivering uplifting, groovy, and sexy experiences rooted in the underground scene.

Ricardo’s DJ journey began in 1987 at a college radio station in Montreal, Canada, where he initially spun industrial electronic music. By 1988, he was introduced to Chicago House and was captivated by its fresh energy, changing his musical direction. In 1995, he moved to Los Angeles, where the city’s sun-drenched, soulful vibe and influences from DJs like Jay-J, Marques Wyatt, Julius Papp, Mark Farina, and Miguel Migs drew him toward the deeper West Coast sound.

In 2000, Ricardo pioneered sharing his mixes online, a bold and innovative step that garnered him international recognition. This exposure led to global performances and opportunities, while he also became a syndicated radio host on satellite and online platforms.

Around 2016 Ricardo partnered with Germany’s Nu Disco Your Disco (NDYD), a leading advocate for the Nu Disco genre. Their collaboration birthed the NDYD Radio Show, which Ricardo hosts weekly, showcasing top global talent and steadily growing a loyal listener base. For Ricardo, Nu Disco offers a modern bridge for the soulful West Coast vibe to resonate with newer generations.

While underground music trends have evolved over the decades, Ricardo’s passion remains unwavering: playing music that inspires people to get up, dance, and celebrate the timeless groove of house music.
