Well here it is. The last NDYD Radio Show for the year. I'm not mad that that 2018 is over. It's been an eventful one. I am so grateful that I'm still here surrounded by my family, friends (who are also my fam), and also YOU the listener. Thank you for sticking with and believing in me. All those messages and love certainly helped in my recovery and to return behind the decks.

As dark as this year has been, a bright light has shone for me at the end and nothing will make me dim it. 

I leave you with this last set which takes me back to my club roots and my love for straight up House Music. Happy New Year and here's to a glorious 2019 for everyone.

Spa In Disco - Artist 013 - MONSIEUR VAN PRATT - Mix Series

The Black Light Disco Show which aired on www.myhouseradio.fm on  Monday 27th April 2020 was a two hour rollercoaster ride of disco, funk, nu-disc, taking numerous sharp bends into disco house. For the first hour our BLD resident Esteban starts things off with a Cerrone influenced piano screamer out now on the Re-Loved label from Chewy Rubs. For the second hour, we had one of the most prolific producers out there at the moment, C.Da Afro. The Greek God of Disco takes over the airwaves with a set literally bursting at the seams with his trademark sound. 

So, a little bit more about our special guest: C. Da Afro was raised in the golden era of the 80's with Soul/Funk & Disco 12'' added to his Vinyl Collection from the age of 13, and he still going... It was 2009 when he started his first producing steps messing around with disco loops. As co-owner of Athens Voice Radio 102.5, he has put his own touch of music every Saturday at midnight for 13 straight years. Until now he has managed to release many groovy disco and disco house tracks under different labels, living by his favourite motto - "As Always Just For Fun".  His own label, Spin Cat Music goes from strength to strength whilst he continues to put out releases on massive labels such as Midnight Riot, Editorial Records, Chopshop Music, Sundries, Hot Digits, Alpaca Edits, Masterworks Music, Re-Loved Records  to name just a few.  

We were delighted to get this legend of disco on the show- so much  we're already discussing his return in the not too distant future!

Ricardo Torres is a West Coast DJ whose sound blends deep, soulful house and disco with the smooth, sun-kissed energy of Los Angeles. His mixes are crafted for true dance floor devotees—uplifting, groovy, and deeply rooted in the underground.

Ricardo began his DJ journey in 1987 at a college radio station in Montreal, later discovering Chicago House and falling in love with its raw emotion and rhythm. After moving to Los Angeles in 1995, he found inspiration in the city’s soulful spirit and from influential DJs like Jay-J, Marques Wyatt, Julius Papp, Mark Farina, and Miguel Migs.

An early pioneer of online mix sharing in 2000, Ricardo quickly gained international recognition, leading to global performances and radio syndication. In 2016, he partnered with Germany’s Nu Disco Your Disco (NDYD) to launch the NDYD Radio Show, a weekly showcase of modern Nu Disco and soulful house that continues to attract a devoted worldwide audience.

Across decades and evolving trends, Ricardo’s mission remains the same: to share music that uplifts, connects, and celebrates the enduring groove of house. The NDYD Radio Show airs live every Saturday on d3ep.com—1 PM in Los Angeles, 3 PM in Chicago, 4 PM in New York, 9 PM in London, and 6 AM Sunday in Sydney—bringing the West Coast vibe to listeners around the globe.
