Spa in Disco boss Fran Deeper gets into our mix series with a galactic journey.

Fran Deeper (Palma de Mallorca, Spain) is, without a doubt, one of the most important references of the House / Nu-Disco scene. He's the owner of the prestigious record label Spa in Disco, which has published more than 100 titles in digital format. Some of them have reached the number one position on the sales charts, while many others have been repeatedly featured in the Top 100 of the most important digital platforms like Junodownload, Beatport, or Traxsource.

His extensive musical career and Nu-Disco Underground with electronic touch style has opened him the doors to some of the most prestigious DJ booths all over the world: Madrid, Mexico City, Ibiza, Tulum, London, Guadalajara, Berlin, San Francisco, Marseille, Jakarta, Barcelona, Milan, Stockholm or Bali, to name a few.

During the lockdown some of the residents / friends who live in our building in DTLA would get together at our loft from time to time where I would play music while we just hang . Of course it was a very limited number of people (only the ones that lived in the building) and even if most of us never left the building we all whore masks and kept our social distancing. It was fun to play for a small 'crowd' in the middle of the pandemic and I got to record some of those sessions that we had about every other weekend. Here is one of them where I went back to play down to mid-tempo edits like back in the days. The other sessions I recorded are all different, deep house, tech-house, etc. I will be posting those in the upcoming radio shows. So here is the first one and I hope you will dig it like our neighbors did. They are actually the ones that asked me to post them so they can have a copy of it. I'm glad to do it cause it looks like I might have turned some of them to this style of music. I'm like a drug dealer lol

Ricardo Torres, a West Coast DJ, is known for blending deep, soulful house and disco with a smooth, sultry West Coast vibe. His music is crafted for true dance music enthusiasts, delivering uplifting, groovy, and sexy experiences rooted in the underground scene.

Ricardo’s DJ journey began in 1987 at a college radio station in Montreal, Canada, where he initially spun industrial electronic music. By 1988, he was introduced to Chicago House and was captivated by its fresh energy, changing his musical direction. Around 2016 Ricardo partnered with Germany’s Nu Disco Your Disco (NDYD), a leading advocate for the Nu Disco genre. Their collaboration birthed the NDYD Radio Show, which Ricardo hosts weekly, showcasing top global talent and steadily growing a loyal listener base.
