"This was my second year in a row playing at The Cityfox Odyssey in which the first year I played was in the downtempo/ambient room.  When I wasn't djing at the event on New Years 2018 I was spending the majority of my time in Gunita's Tavern. So when New Years Eve 2019 came around I naturally wanted to be part of the Gunita's Tavern because of it's really heady vibe and underground feel that was a nice departure from the large rave it was a part of. It was also a place where you could unwind from the large crowds and the odds were better that you would run into a friend or more to have a good conversation while enjoying a drink. 

Rave culture had a lot of momentum coming into 2020 with optimism and excitement that had been building for most of that decade which resulted in more festivals and events due to popular demand. So ending the decade and bringing in a new one at The Cityfox Odyssey because Cityfox had been producing top notch events during this time period was special. I played during New Years day from 6-8pm while Jamie Jones and then Ame & Dixon were playing in the main room so the vibe was thick in the building. The crowd was in prime time form and they brought the energy that was the catalyst for my set. I instantly felt comfortable in the surroundings as a result and spent most of my time after my set in the tavern soaking up the vibes from the dj's sets that played after me. I stayed until the end in the tavern like I did the year before to conclude another memorable New Years day at Gunita's Tavern at The Cityfox Odyssey."

It's time for the Black Light Disco Show to swing into action again - here we have the show which aired on myhouseradio.fm on Monday 17th May 2021.

Hosting the show from the Study Room deep within BLD Towers is resident Esteban, who has been preparing his Proton Plasma Pack, P.K.E Meter and Neutrona Wand all weekend to atomise some freaky spectral apparitions. Appearing in the guest booth tonight is a classy, sassy lady from Germany making her debut on Black Light Disco- La Fusa! La Fusa has been on our radar for some time now, always bringing her A-Game wherever she pops up. Recent developments have seen her move into production and the launch of a new record label, Funk You! La Fusa’s sets are magical, flowing, musical journeys and we know she has put her heart and soul into this tonight. It’s going to be another BLD classic, you can be sure of that!

This episode was suppose to be up last week but because of schedule conflicts (from my end) I had to push it to this week. I'm actually glad I did because Martin took it up a notch on the 'ready to dance' set as I did last week. So in reality I kind of open up for him and warmed you guys up to his amazing selections. SOULDYNAMIC(Naples,ITALY)

Inspired by the deep passion for true underground music Luca and Stefano met in a records shop in the early 2000s to dj and produce. After a few years working behind the scenes studying music and listening to their inspirational artists, in 2007 they founded their own project Souldynamic, the fusion of the true love for soul music and the dynamic sound of the the underground beats of our days. In the latest years they worked for and remixed, Louie Vega, Melba Moore, Dennis Ferrer, Josh Milan and plenty others.
Since then they have travelled all over Europe and part of the world, leaving their small home town in the heart of Italy to collaborate with some of the most influential heads in the house music scene, sharing the dj booth with some of the coolest artists in the House Music scene.
Luca & Stefano have held residency at Southport Weekender’s open air festival SuncéBeat in Croatia since 2010 which then cemented their place at Southport Weekender itself playing at the lastest events. Due to the high demand for their music they embarked on a magical United Kingdom journey playing regularly in one of the most influential cities on the underground music scene, London! 
In their early careers they also appeared as guest djs in some of the finest clubs in Europe such as Basic (Naples), Sound Department (Taranto IT), Room 26 (Rome), EGG (London), Kee Club (Hong Kong), Cavo Paradiso (Mykonos), Drop (Hong Kong), Ce la Vi (Singapore), Urban Klub (Italy), Supperclub (Amsterdam), Duel:Beat (Naples), Bault (Amsterdam), Warehouse (Birmingham) just to name a few. 
Souldynamic’s single “Equatoriale” have had a great response in clubland after being played by the Legendary Chicago based dj Lil Louis at “Concrete” in Paris, subsequently a video was posted which has received over 2.5 millions views online, track is released on Tribe Records (UK) and reached the #1 in the download chart. 
The Italian guys performed for Boiler Room in Naples in July 2016 and to enter in their new decade of career the dynamic duo launched their own records label Excedo.
Driven by a true and deep passion for real underground music they will keep working hard trying to realise their own dreams and spread their love for music all over the globe.

Ricardo Torres, a West Coast DJ, is known for blending deep, soulful house and disco with a smooth, sultry West Coast vibe. His music is crafted for true dance music enthusiasts, delivering uplifting, groovy, and sexy experiences rooted in the underground scene.

Ricardo’s DJ journey began in 1987 at a college radio station in Montreal, Canada, where he initially spun industrial electronic music. By 1988, he was introduced to Chicago House and was captivated by its fresh energy, changing his musical direction. In 1995, he moved to Los Angeles, where the city’s sun-drenched, soulful vibe and influences from DJs like Jay-J, Marques Wyatt, Julius Papp, Mark Farina, and Miguel Migs drew him toward the deeper West Coast sound.

In 2000, Ricardo pioneered sharing his mixes online, a bold and innovative step that garnered him international recognition. This exposure led to global performances and opportunities, while he also became a syndicated radio host on satellite and online platforms.

Recently, Ricardo partnered with Germany’s Nu Disco Your Disco (NDYD), a leading advocate for the Nu Disco genre. Their collaboration birthed the NDYD Radio Show, which Ricardo hosts weekly, showcasing top global talent and steadily growing a loyal listener base.
