We return this week with another dose of underground to ease you into another week of... life? 

I have to tell you, I think the pandemic really gave a creative kick to so many producers out there who just keep putting out amazing music week after week. I was def shaking my derriere as I put this episode together.

I like to consider myself as someone who knows underground music and of the great artists from the scene but one that I discovered recently, @reagangrey, completely flew under my radar. Boy, was I missing something from this fellow Canadian producer. All of the tracks she has produced or remixed are pure fire. I had to include her work in this episode and more is coming as she has an amazing catalogue. Thank you @traxsource for the introduction. Also, a throw back from the best thing that has come out of Russia since Vodka, @alex_hook. Even a timeless interpretation from the maestro himself, @marques-wyatt.

I realized there was tons of music from previous episodes that I never played even if I had planned to. Prob cause they didn't fit, were the wrong key from what I was playing, or I just forgot about them. So many tracks at the end of each show's playlist that just never made it. I threw some of those in here such as some amazing remixes of RÜFÜS to a fantastic bootleg of Jessie Ware.

Ricardo’s DJ journey began in 1987 at a college radio station in Montreal, Canada, where he initially spun industrial electronic music. By 1988, he was introduced to Chicago House and was captivated by its fresh energy, changing his musical direction. In 1995, he moved to Los Angeles, where the city’s sun-drenched, soulful vibe and influences from DJs like Jay-J, Marques Wyatt, Julius Papp, Mark Farina, and Miguel Migs drew him toward the deeper West Coast sound.

In 2000, Ricardo pioneered sharing his mixes online, a bold and innovative step that garnered him international recognition. This exposure led to global performances and opportunities, while he also became a syndicated radio host on satellite and online platforms.

Around 2016 Ricardo partnered with Germany’s Nu Disco Your Disco (NDYD), a leading advocate for the Nu Disco genre. Their collaboration birthed the NDYD Radio Show, which Ricardo hosts weekly, showcasing top global talent and steadily growing a loyal listener base. For Ricardo, Nu Disco offers a modern bridge for the soulful West Coast vibe to resonate with newer generations.

While underground music trends have evolved over the decades, Ricardo’s passion remains unwavering: playing music that inspires people to get up, dance, and celebrate the timeless groove of house music.
