I'm baaaack and as happy as Jack Nicholson smoking weed to be behind the decks again. So happy actually that I almost had half a bottle of Casa Amigos while recording this episode so forgive me if the mixes sound a bit sloppy near the end. Blame George Clooney and his delicious tequila.

We had two amazing talented guests back to back in the past weeks and they did raise bar so I had to step it up. With that said, new fire from our label! Yes a new release that will be out soon on NDYD Records from OHYEAH & Dynamique, a beautiful collaboration  from my lovely friend @lisa-shaw and her partner in musical crime @miguelmigs1, new and older dopeness from the fantastic French duo B & S Concept(@inaouse), Mark Farina, Soledrifter, Saison, and many more. Ricardo Torres, a West Coast DJ, is known for blending deep, soulful house and disco with a smooth, sultry West Coast vibe. His music is crafted for true dance music enthusiasts, delivering uplifting, groovy, and sexy experiences rooted in the underground scene.

Ricardo’s DJ journey began in 1987 at a college radio station in Montreal, Canada, where he initially spun industrial electronic music. By 1988, he was introduced to Chicago House and was captivated by its fresh energy, changing his musical direction. In 1995, he moved to Los Angeles, where the city’s sun-drenched, soulful vibe and influences from DJs like Jay-J, Marques Wyatt, Julius Papp, Mark Farina, and Miguel Migs drew him toward the deeper West Coast sound.

In 2000, Ricardo pioneered sharing his mixes online, a bold and innovative step that garnered him international recognition. This exposure led to global performances and opportunities, while he also became a syndicated radio host on satellite and online platforms.

Around 2016 Ricardo partnered with Germany’s Nu Disco Your Disco (NDYD), a leading advocate for the Nu Disco genre. Their collaboration birthed the NDYD Radio Show, which Ricardo hosts weekly, showcasing top global talent and steadily growing a loyal listener base. For Ricardo, Nu Disco offers a modern bridge for the soulful West Coast vibe to resonate with newer generations.

While underground music trends have evolved over the decades, Ricardo’s passion remains unwavering: playing music that inspires people to get up, dance, and celebrate the timeless groove of house music.

 I have been collecting and playing House music for more than 30 + years and going to shows in Northern California and the San Francisco Bay area mostly. I believe that music connects us and music is a passion of mine without it I would wither away and die. I was listening to music on my parents headphones before I could tie my shoes and that's where the passion started.                                                
      I have a very large and vast music collection and have spent many more hours than I will admit collecting music over the years I might have an obsession with music. It's how the Music Whore came to be...  Connecting people thru music with my mixes and edits is very enjoyable and finding and sharing new music is what it's all about.                                                                             
     I like all Music but my favorite is Day time Disco, Nu-Disco, House, Deep House, Chill House, Deep Disco, Dance, Funky, Soul,  Tech House, G House, R&B, Hip Hop and Old-school but anything with a groove that just gives you those chills and that vibe that we all love  will get my attention.
