Ricardo Torres is a West Coast DJ whose sound blends deep, soulful house and disco with the smooth, sun-kissed energy of Los Angeles. His mixes are crafted for true dance floor devotees—uplifting, groovy, and deeply rooted in the underground.

Ricardo began his DJ journey in 1987 at a college radio station in Montreal, later discovering Chicago House and falling in love with its raw emotion and rhythm. After moving to Los Angeles in 1995, he found inspiration in the city’s soulful spirit and from influential DJs like Jay-J, Marques Wyatt, Julius Papp, Mark Farina, and Miguel Migs.

An early pioneer of online mix sharing in 2000, Ricardo quickly gained international recognition, leading to global performances and radio syndication. In 2016, he partnered with Germany’s Nu Disco Your Disco (NDYD) to launch the NDYD Radio Show, a weekly showcase of modern Nu Disco and soulful house that continues to attract a devoted worldwide audience.

Across decades and evolving trends, Ricardo’s mission remains the same: to share music that uplifts, connects, and celebrates the enduring groove of house.  I have been collecting and playing House music for more than 30 + years and going to shows in Northern California and the San Francisco Bay area mostly. I believe that music connects us and music is a passion of mine without it I would wither away and die. I was listening to music on my parents headphones before I could tie my shoes and that's where the passion started.                                                
      I have a very large and vast music collection and have spent many more hours than I will admit collecting music over the years I might have an obsession with music. It's how the Music Whore came to be...  Connecting people thru music with my mixes and edits is very enjoyable and finding and sharing new music is what it's all about.                                                                             
     I like all Music but my favorite is Day time Disco, Nu-Disco, House, Deep House, Chill House, Deep Disco, Dance, Funky, Soul,  Tech House, G House, R&B, Hip Hop and Old-school but anything with a groove that just gives you those chills and that vibe that we all love  will get my attention.
