Yacht Series Full Playlist

I felt it was time to slow things down again and started a new series in the Yacht category. We now have Yacht Rock, Yacht Disco, and the new addition Yacht Lounge. It's not the first time I do a downtempo episode but I've done enough that it needs its own category. This show reminded me and made me feel nostalgic of 2015-16 when I use to travel to the south of  France and to Spain to play this style of music on fancy Yachts and bars/clubs by the beach as the sun was setting. Good times!

Lots of new lounge goodies, Disco, surprise edits including new fire that I receive as a promo this week from my friend @larslb on his label Deeper Shades of House that was just perfect for this episode and to close it out.  Close your eyes, relax, and enjoy the sunset.

Welcome to the NDYD Radio Show where EP-317 introduces a new category in the Yacht series  - MUSHROOM YACHT.

If you are a fan, like I am, of that amazing DJ & artist whose initials are MF 😉 and who is the one that popularized the Mushroom style 🍄 years ago then you will dig this episode. A nice variation of underground jazzy Hip Hop and R&B that starts at 95bpm and cruises closer to a House vibe by the end.

Two weeks ago when I did the first set for the Mushroom Yacht collection I said you wouldn't have to wait too long for the next one. Promise kept. I am really enjoying doing these and a 3rd volume is definitely on the drawing board.

Welcome to a new episode  of the NDYD Radio Show. Did you guys missed me? I skipped an episode last week as we are rolling out new products at work and that is where all my attention has been.

To make it up to you guys I did, as requested by listeners, a new Mushroom Yacht episode. I didn't realize I only had made two of this popular series. Volume 3 of this new Mushroom Yacht clocks in at two and half hours of jazzy underground Hip Hop that rarely goes over 100 BPM. I actually played a lot of that sweet underground Hip Hop from the early 90s by artists like LL Cool J. Tribe Called Quest, Grand Puba, Black Sheep, 2Pac, Pete Rock and many more artists that were part of my youth. Hope you will enjoy it as much as I did recording it.

Killer Boogie #27 lands on the  myhouseradio.fm griddle with another sizzler from DeGama to apply some crucial sonic therapy.  

It’s DeGama for the whole two hour show again this month and another ‘Past and Present’ themed set celebrating the genius of icons and legends from the past and showcasing some of the best producers and artists currently plying their trade on the scene. DeGama has really pulled out some classic tracks from the likes of George Duke, MFSB, Gil Scott-Heron and Sylvester for the first hour, easing through the gears to the second hour where you’ll be treated to modern goodies from Oliver Dollar, Jimpster, Risk Assessment and DJ Disciple to name but a few.

Ricardo Torres, a West Coast DJ, is known for blending deep, soulful house and disco with a smooth, sultry West Coast vibe. His music is crafted for true dance music enthusiasts, delivering uplifting, groovy, and sexy experiences rooted in the underground scene.

Ricardo’s DJ journey began in 1987 at a college radio station in Montreal, Canada, where he initially spun industrial electronic music. By 1988, he was introduced to Chicago House and was captivated by its fresh energy, changing his musical direction. In 1995, he moved to Los Angeles, where the city’s sun-drenched, soulful vibe and influences from DJs like Jay-J, Marques Wyatt, Julius Papp, Mark Farina, and Miguel Migs drew him toward the deeper West Coast sound.

In 2000, Ricardo pioneered sharing his mixes online, a bold and innovative step that garnered him international recognition. This exposure led to global performances and opportunities, while he also became a syndicated radio host on satellite and online platforms.

Around 2016 Ricardo partnered with Germany’s Nu Disco Your Disco (NDYD), a leading advocate for the Nu Disco genre. Their collaboration birthed the NDYD Radio Show, which Ricardo hosts weekly, showcasing top global talent and steadily growing a loyal listener base. For Ricardo, Nu Disco offers a modern bridge for the soulful West Coast vibe to resonate with newer generations.

While underground music trends have evolved over the decades, Ricardo’s passion remains unwavering: playing music that inspires people to get up, dance, and celebrate the timeless groove of house music.
