One of my happiest moments of the year is when I go to AfrikaBurn. Being there in the middle of nowhere, no civilization, people building shelter and accommodation for a few days, being there for a few days to a week, break off everything and leaving no trace. In the middle of all that I find myself in such a luxurious position where I can see many of my friends, spend time with them without having the distraction of phones, e-mail etc. Being fully present with the people there and then also being able to share music with them….that to me is such a blessing and I think you can hear that back in my sets. So…..I played another set at Space Cowboys and I felt so much joy, I saw so much pure joy in peoples eyes, body language and the sounds which came out of their mouths ;-) Enjoy the live set I played there with the sound of the audience in it as well. Obviously the title of this EP gives you a hint of what you will hear in this new episode. The title is not a coincidence though because that is the name of the event in which my buddy, @djdavidbullock, and myself will playing at all night B2B at the super club Exchange in DTLA this Saturday March 26. Our mission on this night is to only play tracks from the 70s and 80s but not the originals - only edits and reinterpretations of those songs. Very much like you will hear in this episode.

Afrikaburn 2023….what another adventure that was. I played two sets. One at my beloved Space Cowboys and the second one at the Bridges For Music camp, called Ubuhlanti. Saturday night, a packed venue (yes, I would call it a venue) and an amazing African female artist playing before me, creating a high energy amongst the crowd. My turn….so much fun, so many happy faces, so much love to share. Being at AfrikaBurn is always one of my highlights of the year and this year was definitely not an exception to that. The NDYD Radio Show starts the year proper with EP370 which is the live recording of your host, right here, warming up the dance floor for Miguel Migs and Colette.

The event was amazing. I saw so much love and happiness coming from the dancers that it influenced how we were playing. At least it did for me.

As an opening act my only role is to get the crowd ready for the dance floor and for the headliners. From what I saw from the booth - mission accomplished. 

The 300 or so people that came, all  of them were on the dance floor when Colette and Miguel came on. That is usually the sign for a successful House Music event.

If you were there - this will bring back some good memories.

If you were not there - then this recording will give you the vibe you missed :)

Her journey began with "Maschine Studio" by Native Instruments, a revelation that changed her life. In 2020, she debuted with Mike Sharon on P.I.V with Time Is Magic. She later released on Ultra Knites Records, crafting hits like My Mood, I Really Love, and Upside Down, supported by artists like Alex Ranerro and Buzz Goree.

The creativity, devotion to the cause of the LGBTQ community always blows me away and I love playing for them. This is my Friday night (6/26) set that started the  Disco night. Deep in the depths of Norway (Bergen to be precise), https://soundcloud.com/atella and O. Martin have been brewing up ‘Mechanical Sparrow’ for Eskimo recordings, with club remix and rework from Man Power.

The original gives a nod to their expansive environment and the sounds of Air or Royksopp, sweeping melodies, majestic vocals, and luscious French “Phoenix” guitar. The Atella Club Mix is friendlier for those seeking out the ebbs of the night, while Man Power’s remix reveals the bare bones of ‘Mechanical Sparrow’, it’s delicate wings in pensive flight contemplating a divine dreamstate, in the style of Mount Kimbie and Bonobo.  

Atella are Magnus & Johannes who hilariously stumbled upon each other at a piggy back race. They have remixed fellow Norwegian Lindstrom and indie-electronica outfit Lemaitre. They debuted on Eskimo with ‘The Monster’ back in 2014, a track that was recently featured in ‘Scream’, the TV series spin off from the film trilogy. Back then they were remixed by UK electronic darlings, Stubborn Heart, while Atella’s latest release features a remix from another UK aficionado, Man Power, the elusive producer for his work on Correspondent and John Talabot’s Hivern Discs.

The track features O. Martin, a close musical ally of Aurora (infamous for the music on the current John Lewis Christmas ad) which gave life to this collaboration, as Atella explains “When Atella and O. Martin met in the studio in Bergen, Norway, there was chemistry right away. They just started jamming, recorded several acoustic instruments and then brought in the organic-electronic sound. O. Martin composed text and melody and Mechanical Sparrow was born.”

Ezeo is part of a new wave of talents descending from Iceland. Although there are many things that mark him and his home country as unique, it is his universal desire to connect people under a feeling that really drives him.
He formed the VIBES collective who became regulars at the cities top clubs and despite the individual members spreading their wings across Europe maintain a radio show on Icelandic underground stations. 
Ezeo is also a resident at Summer Contrast Festival in Poland and frequently plays in Polish underground scene, which he describes being underestimated by the world.
As a member of a great underground scene, Ezeo has played and hosted venues with Kevin Knapp, Lars Moston, Youandewan, Kerry Chandler, Exos, Ale Castro, Intr0beatz, KrBear.

Ricardo Torres, a West Coast DJ, is known for blending deep, soulful house and disco with a smooth, sultry West Coast vibe. His music is crafted for true dance music enthusiasts, delivering uplifting, groovy, and sexy experiences rooted in the underground scene.

Ricardo’s DJ journey began in 1987 at a college radio station in Montreal, Canada, where he initially spun industrial electronic music. By 1988, he was introduced to Chicago House and was captivated by its fresh energy, changing his musical direction. In 1995, he moved to Los Angeles, where the city’s sun-drenched, soulful vibe and influences from DJs like Jay-J, Marques Wyatt, Julius Papp, Mark Farina, and Miguel Migs drew him toward the deeper West Coast sound.

In 2000, Ricardo pioneered sharing his mixes online, a bold and innovative step that garnered him international recognition. This exposure led to global performances and opportunities, while he also became a syndicated radio host on satellite and online platforms.

Around 2016 Ricardo partnered with Germany’s Nu Disco Your Disco (NDYD), a leading advocate for the Nu Disco genre. Their collaboration birthed the NDYD Radio Show, which Ricardo hosts weekly, showcasing top global talent and steadily growing a loyal listener base. For Ricardo, Nu Disco offers a modern bridge for the soulful West Coast vibe to resonate with newer generations.
