... and here it is. The second part of last week's yacht lounge mix. As I said then the whole thing is over 4 hours long so I thought it would be a good thing to split it into two sections. If you play them back to back you will notice that it was one long set. I think i got the chill vibe out of me in these last two weeks so next week back to our regular deep house, disco, and just damn good music. BTW getting the chill out of me doesn't mean there will be no more Yacht Lounge. I still have enough chill tracks to fill at least 4 more episodes. Welcome lovers of House Music for adults. Hoping you had a great week since the last episode. I certainly have by finishing big projects at work and starting new exciting ones. This week also felt like summer, and  it’s the kick off of Pride Month so lots of loving and good vibes in the air. 

I also got involved in a new art project where I will be supplying the soundtrack for ‘deiSogni’. As they describe it, this will be a  ‘an immersive rebirth of the collective dream through art, theatre, film, technology, and music.’ This is happening June 26-27 here in the LA Art District. As far as EP-392, it is dance floor ready a la ‘Glitterbox’ and it’s meant to be played loud at your summer get together and events.  Especially pool parties.  This episode was also recorded for the first time with my my new digital recorder. My old Zoom H4n finally took its last lap after using it for almost 15 years for the show and on the road. Thank God for Amazon next day delivery. I got the new 2024 version  of the H4n (now called H4 Essential) that is smaller, black in color, and has more buttons and technology than its predecessor. It took half a day to figure it out. I felt like Cassian Andor when he was trying to steal a prototype of the Tie Avenger (Star Wars fans know what I am talking about). The recording sounded pretty good in the studio so let me know if it feels that way from your end. I am only uploading WAV non compressed versions of the show now so it’s high quality audio. What Soundcloud’s audio algorithm does with it to stream it is beyond my control.

Ricardo Torres is a West Coast DJ whose sound blends deep, soulful house and disco with the smooth, sun-kissed energy of Los Angeles. His mixes are crafted for true dance floor devotees—uplifting, groovy, and deeply rooted in the underground.

Ricardo began his DJ journey in 1987 at a college radio station in Montreal, later discovering Chicago House and falling in love with its raw emotion and rhythm. After moving to Los Angeles in 1995, he found inspiration in the city’s soulful spirit and from influential DJs like Jay-J, Marques Wyatt, Julius Papp, Mark Farina, and Miguel Migs.

An early pioneer of online mix sharing in 2000, Ricardo quickly gained international recognition, leading to global performances and radio syndication. In 2016, he partnered with Germany’s Nu Disco Your Disco (NDYD) to launch the NDYD Radio Show, a weekly showcase of modern Nu Disco and soulful house that continues to attract a devoted worldwide audience.

Across decades and evolving trends, Ricardo’s mission remains the same: to share music that uplifts, connects, and celebrates the enduring groove of house.
