The NDYD Radio Show EP381

This weeks Spin City saw myself and Chuggin Edits returning for another residents show. I played the first hour, packed full of forthcoming digital and vinyl releases, with a couple of older tracks from Yam Who? Rest In Peace, brother. For the second hour, Chuggin Edits plays an outstanding hour to close the show, as only he can.

Feels like I was here posting EP383 yesterday but it already been a week! Not mad about it cause I love to do these. A bunch of new music in this episode but what stands out is you will hear through out some surprise edits and remixes that are unfortunately not available to purchase or stream but that you will hear here. One from a d3ep brother, SW (who usually plays before my show on d3ep), one from a past and coming up future guest, Chugin Edits, and also one from yours truly that I did with my WCC brother Torin Rea about 15 years ago and that people still play out. The NDYD Radio Show EP384

EP-385 hits the ground running this week with  left over new tracks from last week that I didn't get a chance to play, lots of deep crate digging and some rare edits (one as premiere). The week was super busy and the tech higher ups got me on multiple projects (all fun and interesting) that I didn't even have the chance to look at new music. With a digital crate of over  20K tracks you think I would find something to play :) 

The stand out track in this episode is from a very good friend of 25 years here in LA. The guy who really turned me on to the House Music scene here in Southern California - Mr Thomas White of Natural Rhythm fame ( @natural-rhythm-music ). He reached out this week to tell me that he did a Fleetwood Mac edit/remix and if I wanted to hear it. Is the sky blue? Is the pope catholic? duh of course I wanted to  hear it! 

This confirmed to me again what I knew already - that TW is one talented mofo who is as pro as they got out there making music. I am so lucky to ghave friends like him in my life after all these years. Love that dude. Also in this episode this week another  mash/edit done by your truly in the early 2000s. I certainly don't have the talent for making music like lots of my friends do but I try :)

Ricardo Torres is a West Coast DJ whose sound blends deep, soulful house and disco with the smooth, sun-kissed energy of Los Angeles. His mixes are crafted for true dance floor devotees—uplifting, groovy, and deeply rooted in the underground.

Ricardo began his DJ journey in 1987 at a college radio station in Montreal, later discovering Chicago House and falling in love with its raw emotion and rhythm. After moving to Los Angeles in 1995, he found inspiration in the city’s soulful spirit and from influential DJs like Jay-J, Marques Wyatt, Julius Papp, Mark Farina, and Miguel Migs.

An early pioneer of online mix sharing in 2000, Ricardo quickly gained international recognition, leading to global performances and radio syndication. In 2016, he partnered with Germany’s Nu Disco Your Disco (NDYD) to launch the NDYD Radio Show, a weekly showcase of modern Nu Disco and soulful house that continues to attract a devoted worldwide audience.

Across decades and evolving trends, Ricardo’s mission remains the same: to share music that uplifts, connects, and celebrates the enduring groove of house.
